Bad in that we are questioning those that have the powers to I would miss the game but really, start getting the management together it is long overdue, answer this post: How about a weekly post on the main page showing how the management is going to address each of the points. 1. Focus 2. Consistency 3. Planning 4. Documentation 5. Fairness 6. Accountability I can't speak for anyone but myself, but this would go a long way to assure me that this IS the EnB project to back. In the transcript (chat log) Tasha stated that what she/he was doing was OK, so it was approved? If so who approved it? If it was approved it just went bad, move on, and learn from it. Who is the head GM? Have we heard from this individual yet? Is Kenu the head GM? If not he/she should be.

Until you see David on the forums there is a slim to no chance, that the server will be restarted anytime soon.

Ummm... C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\release\chat.log Chat log located above. Granted it can be modified, but so can a screen shot. But two different logs would just about prove it imo.

Agree, I do tend to set the bar too high. I had hopes that when we first brought the pup home, she would not drink from an open toilet. But we can dream.

I also thought that these events are a good thing, the problem is that the Dev/GM group stated that they were not going to be held unless they all agreed that they were going to be held, and an announcement was made. Frankly I don't give a crap for a doodah super dooper this or that. Or that Joe Blow got one and I didn't. I just would like to have some little itty bitty bit of consistency from day to day around here.

I like the way you think, but was just confused as to what you were talking about. Sorry for the snipe, but the former GM saying that anyone who raised any issue was a whiner really got to me. Especially after this happened not so long ago and was said to be a no no.

Talk about fanning the flames of discontent. Why would any GM attack the player base like this? Every question or bug report or issue is not whining. It seems very fashionable lately to accuse anyone who is not actively participating in Dev/GM/Beta worship of whining. Thank you for all you have done, but try to remember how WE got here.!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn’t going to say anything but… in other posts the powers that be said there would be no more “contests” until every Dev was on board with it. Again I assumed that since it was being held it was a sanctioned contest. As for it going horrible wrong, “This is a stress test” < joke I hate to see this for everything that goes wrong but had to throw it out there.

I started this as a new topic only because I didn’t want it to get overlooked. I may be one of the few that hit the forums to see what’s new or changed before jumping into the game. Is it just me that remembers that we supposed to be getting better communication from the devs? There has been a change to something from last night until this morning. Either shields have been weakened or mobs have been strengthened. What was it? If it was posted someplace I apologize in advance, but it did not show up in the View New Content search. -------- Edit ----------- And in thinking about it it may be a new introduced bug. I was just thinking.... um so what? The whole thing of a single player outgunning a group of 6. If that player was following you around and taking all your kills then that is a different matter, but a single kill? Really not worth getting all upset about. As others have stated, skill, equipment, and or just dumb luck but really now exploit?

I’m confused; the one player beat a whole group of players? (PvP ish) The one player beat a whole group of lvl 66 mobs? The one player beat the whole group TO the mob? The one player outgunned the whole group? Sounds confusing.

I agree that (most) are not paying for the game. But I disagree with you that we should all just sit back and enjoy the ride. We all have as an unwritten agreement with the folks who brought this beloved game back from the dead. We not only play the game but test and inform them of bugs, typos and exploits that have been introduced. If we loose it due to internal bickering that would be a pity. (Yes not the end of the world) but if it may be averted by suggestions from us the peanut gallery to make their lives < read our lives easier, then I say suggest away fellow peanut galleryieans.

Vista? I have the same issue sometimes, sometimes it helps to log off (windows) and back on. Or a restart (windows) and kill off unnecessary applications from the task manager. I still think there is are processes that don't get killed at exit. But it works so MEH!

Thanks Floss, makes me feel a bit better. It scares me sometimes people saying "It just isn't right or fair that EA could sue the project". Unfortunately anyone can sue anyone for anything in this day and age. It does not make it right, but that is the way it is. EA being the last (on record) owner of the intelectual property ie. EnB. I hope I am being a chicken little.

While I mostly agree with what you have said, the bottom line is up until very recently (ST3 and now ST4) very seldom were there more than 200 players on at any given time. The project leaders have done a great job keeping it a low profile and not rubbing it in EA’s nose. My fear is that the exuberance of newer players and the desire to promote the game the project will gain more and more notoriety. The more the project is out there the more likely EA will have to do something about it. As I suggested before it may be prudent to at a minimum check to see what the liability actually is. If it is only a cease and desist order, then no worries, pass the ball to the next underground server and go from there. If it is more than that, and EA can get punitive as well as actual damages then I would think the project leaders should have some definitive answer. But until that time comes….. PARTY ON DUDES!!! And DUDETTES!!

You will not attempt to play Earth & Beyond on any service that is not controlled or authorized by EA. We all see this every single day we log on... now granted I think lack of action on EA's part for as long as this has been going on may be abandonment on their part. But to be safe legal advice should be looked into ASAP.

Global warming or have all the Devs hit critical mass and are imploding? What is going on? March 10? what's up with that date? In game today I saw a Dev say that no Dev or GM is allowed to help spawn the captain for the PW HU. Is the spawn fixed? Will it be fixed? Are there any Devs left to fix it? Damn-it I got hooked on the game again and now this. It was bad enough that my own guild (been with them forever it seems) won't talk to me unless I get on TS. Now this. Good thing that the other games out there are run like a business and will take my money. I think I can learn to like STO... possibly
