Stress test 4 has been going for awhile. Its ok as long as i can keep playing though. 2013 seens so far away.

Its pretty amazing what these guys have done. The first time i went to warp i teared up.

I didn't change any files. All i did was update it and now i can't play.

i did the cert. thing as well.

After the latest update i get this error and the old EA popup along with it. Can't login since update.

It would seem that progen's and beams would be a good match. In fact i always thought that Westwood got it wrong. Jenquai and beams have always seemed silly to me because of their weak hull and shields. Progen's do make beams and no one uses them. they also have some good buffs on them too. Has anyone every used those beams to see what they are like? Who said that progen's should only use projectiles in the first place? Its like some player came up with this rule and it stuck. Even the strategy guide see's beams as a good choice and looks down on missles but i've seem progen's using missle's and not looked down on for it.

Well its finally something i have to do. My trade lvl is 11 while my combat and explore are 16 and 17 in that order. Some of my skills require my trade to at least lvl 15. So what would you guys use for an engine and devices? I was lucky enough to find a reactor builder that made me a lvl 3 nero for combat and a kracken for trade running. I can use lvl 3 engines and devices. If i gotta do runs i want to be fast.

This has me really confused. Ingame everyone says you have to do the mission to get lvl 30 hull upgrade but you say the mission is not needed to get the upgrade. And i can't find patch notes to tell me where to go for it. Can you please point me in the right direction.

All these replies on how play a JD are bs. It makes me think that all you "EXPERTS" of this version of the game never really played live. I had a JD lvl 101 live and i never had to do the crap you say i have to do. Why because player made weapons were what everbody had. You could even make them "YOURSELF" for your characters. And if i had to do any of that stuff you guys say, it was just for fun only. This games problem from what i'm seeing is elitest who think they know everything. and give bad advice. Ingame chat is full of this. I see new players asking question and the answers are such bs. For JD"S and JE's the problem is this game's psi shield, it sucks and is nothing like what live was. This is something that needs to be fixed. This game has made way to many changes on how it was at live and thats the problem. They have made a game that favor's players that never really played live. They come here and Talk alot of bs. Thats why it has so much lame crap in it that was never there before. The more i play it, the more i see it.

Cool story. I ran into someone like that in my JD's early lvls at the bots near earth station. We talked for awhile and he gave me advice about using my skills right. Took me back to earth station and made me very nice lvl 2 and 3 beams. All he asked of me was to pass them on to someone else when i out lvl them. And i will do it.

Would someone mind typing out what i need to type in to get color change. I keep doing it but nothing happens. What would i need to type if i want all chat colors to be green?

I agree, Its is not the same at all. Psionic shield is amost worthless. Thinking of switching from beams to projectiles so i can at least hit from longer range. That shield goes down in 3 hits from an equal lvl mob. Finding alot of things not the same as live. Some good others bad. Still will keep playing though.It will aways be my favorite game no matter what. Just have to make ajustments for this version of it.

Roommate of mine saw me playing the game. He wants to play it badly but he's a Mac Computer guy. I told him i didn't think it did.

I kind of remember it being somewhat better than it is now. It seems i have to relaunch it after a minute. I remember it staying up a lot longer than it does ingame.

I remember in live Jenquai could travel through Earth gates but they seem to be closed. If this has to do with a new storyline,can someone post me a link to it. I feel sometimes that i don't know whats going on. Also the choice of faction popup near Net7 has me confused as to what to do.

I just came back also. It really is amazing to play this game again. It was my first and favorite mmo. I've played many since but nothing will ever beat E&B.

Are you guys really a new guild. I swear i was in a guild in E&b with that name. They were a really cool guild that helped newbies alot.
