One thing I remember well is the squad/guild I was in was trying to get me leveled pretty quick one night. I remember the leader telling me to hang out at this specific Nav buoy and just sit there. So I did. I don't remember what they were killing, but I was getting massive exp. They told me not to move because if I got to far from them, I wouldn't get any exp. Was this an exploit in Live or normal playing?

I found that ore in multiple places, but because I was told to go to ABB, I thought it was only there. Sorry for bothering everyone with a useless post.

I got this quest to find three or four different ores. I found them all except the caesarium (SP). I need like five more. I have been to all four bouys and cant find the last for the life of me. I played my TT exclusively when live and got him to 135. Never played anything else. Started a PW got to level 5, but went back to my TT. Now I am playing a TT, but he is very low. Started a JE, but I heard they are very difficult to play. I guess they are somewhat like a rogue. I voted on the TT just because I know that class, but going to try as many as I can. I hardly see that many people on when I play and I play from like 630 pm to around 9 pm EST,

I am starting to play this game more than World of Warcraft and Rift. I have a sub for each one and this is free. Well, not free, because I plan on donating to keep this jewel going. May cancel one of other subs. At one time, I was subbing to four games at one time a few years ago. I justified it because I am not a drinker or do I party that much. Addiction?

My Mom had to do the same thing with the sump pumps in her basement. We have indoor/outdoor carpeting down. They tried to waterproof it from the inside one time, that was a waste of money. Thanks!

I want to thank all of you for the extensive responses. I understand now. BUT It would make sense if EA allowed you to work on the game, charge a monthly fee and get a percentage of the profit without investing a dime to update or enhance the game over the years. It would be a win-win situation for them. Right now, the game is dead in their eyes, but this would give them an opportunity to make a few bucks on your labor. I am sure you tried to present that to them, right? If you did, I am sure you never got a response. LOL

So basically, the Devs are doing this because of a passion for the game play? This is a tremendous amount of work to do for free. It just doesn't seem right that with all their efforts and time they put in, they can't make a dime. So what I paid for, was a donation to pay for servers and bandwidth. Right? Now, the only way for this game to keep going is by donations or they have to shut down? Once the game is completed, then what? When you said NO on #3, couldn't they just have us pay a monthly charge to keep the servers running once the game is complete? It seems fair to me.

Ok, to start off, I am legally challenged. My questions are: Did EA let you recreate this great game? Did you have to buy the rights to it? Will it ever go public with subscriptions under a different developer? Can EA stop the Devs from working on it? Maybe I missed all the info over the years, but you guys are the greatest bringing this back to us. I really want to see this project succeed and make it. I have my original beta disk and the final disks from the EA years ago. Are they any good or can be used for anything? Thanks all and sorry if I sound ignorant on these questions, but these questions have been swirling around in my mind since I became a part of this game quest.

I am going to download all of them and add them to my room. Maybe put some stars on them that glow when I turn on my black lights. Great job.

Well, not sure if messed up or not. I created my TT and found someone with the quests and took the one that said I have make 20,000 credits and come back to him. I knew I should have taken another one, but there is no way to cancel what I selected. Now I have to figure out how to make the moolaa. I guess just kill things and trade to make money. BTW, where is that terminal that gives quests to do? I guess it is not in the game yet? Thanks all. Some help would be appreciated. I will give someone a squirt gun when I can make one. ;-)

It took a little work, especially painting the walls and ceiling. I have so much hooked up to the computer, it would have been a nightmare to disconnect everything. I was a contortionist painting it. Then I put those stars on by hand, most of them were the diameter of a pencil lead. Thanks for all the comments. Did you notice the sheet of paper to the left? That is a Jumpgate Classic map of the universe. There is another computer in there that you cant see. I use that for game research when I get stuck or I want to find something out.

This is my computer room. I dedicated a bedroom to it, painted the walls dark blue, added a few black lights and put stars on everything. 24" monitor helps too. Really immerses me in space games: Jumpgate, Black Prohecy and now Earth and Beyond. [img]http://www.outfctrl.com/comproom3.jpg[/img]

WOW! That is absolutely amazing. A handful of people bringing back this game. Gonna download it this weekend. Now the question is, for me of course, is what race and role I want to play. I was always grouping back then, keeping people alive as a trader, it was a blast. I may try something a little different now. Thanks all for the info.
