Public file sharing

I've used both Dropbox and Google Drive, Google Drive is definitely better, 15G free, and you don't have to be a member to access files there, as you do (I think, anyway, when I used it) with Dropbox.

So basically with Dropbox if you put a file there and want your friend to get it, if you send them the link, they have to 'join' Dropbox.  I don't like to pimp online services to my friends, so I like Google Drive for that reason alone.  Factor in that it's much bigger free space, I don't see why it's not better.

(You don't need their app either, you can do it all via the website...the local app helps, but is not necessary, again, I think it might've been for Dropbox.)

Failing that, torrenting and distributing your torrent is a good way, so long as you keep it amongst the testers and can trust them not to distribute it, but then the same applies to any dropbox or google drive type method.
