Slayerman
Is this when starting the Net7Launcher or EnB itself?

Jabberwoky
ok, got game running.. but now windowed mode wont work, it goes full screen anyways weather the box is checked or not :S I discovered earlier that the settings in net7config.exe are ignored (this is in vista if it matters, full admin access). I had to change the E&Bconfig.exe settings to allow a change. Bothe files were found in c:/programfiles/eagames/earth&beyond/EBCONFIG directory. bvdave
how did you change the settings to allow a change?
Jabberwoky
how did you change the settings to allow a change? Just run E&BConfig.exe and modify the settings there. If you use the Performance Test, you can see the changes after you select them.

Jabberwoky
i did that.. i checked the box for windowed mode but its still full screen Have you tried both E&Bconfig.exe? There is one in c:/programfiles/eagames/earth&beyond/ and one in c:/programfiles/eagames/earth&beyond/EBCONFIG.
Floss
Have you tried both E&Bconfig.exe? There is one in c:/programfiles/eagames/earth&beyond/ and one in c:/programfiles/eagames/earth&beyond/EBCONFIG. The one that ends up in the start menu under EA has worked for me in both Win 7 and XP. I didn't use any fancy "run as admin" tricks or anything.

bvdave
infact, even changing resolution doesnt work, its stuck at 800x600 so the graphics rather suck and the text is terrible

Slayerman
On any OS (Windows 2000 or above) you MUST use and admin account, as files are updated and the registry is modified by config programs. On my Vista i have UAC turned off
Flesson
I am having this problem, could it be because I am running in 64 bit mode?
