We both have very similar system specs too. I actually picked out his PC and configured it online to be the same as mine, same graphics, card, memory, etc., although his is a Dell and mine is a Gateway. kvaden
I've tried your work-around. Still unable to get much further than log-in. I log, then screen cuts to desktop with msdos command prompt. Program gets to: MVAS thread running Then I get: TCP Listener Thread exiting TCP Listener Thread exiting Then the program stops responding. Any ideas? I had to go into the folders for both EnB and Net7 and change the properties for all the batch and application files so that they would run in XP Compatibility mode. That seemed to do the trick. Polymandius
I run on Vista 32bit without having to force updates. Not sure what i do different. Same here on this comp & the one my daughter is using. There IS the occasional annoying CTD, but no major malfunction that I know of. We get the message that ports 3802 & something else were closed. I will write it down next time.

Pheryl
I have two systems running Vista 32 bit and tried shutting off the UAC on one of them...that seemed to work. Not sure what that actually does differently, but you might give it a try if you haven't already.

It's VERY annoying x_x Edit: Running in WinXP Compatibility mode seems to work for now. Edited February 2, 2010 by Princess Ayami
kameleon
When is the crash accuring? After the hand-scan animation, or during game play? Try: *Turning off the UAC *Set Net-7 and EnB shortcuts to run as Admin, aswell setting the compatibility mode to XP. Note: This setup should only be used for games that have been developed before Windows Vista. Please consult the Minimum System Requirements for your game to see if Windows Vista is listed before attempting to run your game in Compatibility Mode. To run your game in Compatibility Mode: 1.Right-click the game's desktop shortcut icon and choose Properties. 2.In the Properties Panel, click the Compatibility tab. 3.Place a check in the Compatibility Mode checkbox. 4.Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2/3) in the mode box. 5.Click Apply to save your changes. *If none of the above help, try setting the game resolution to the same setting as what your desktop is set to. Note that all these methods are for if you are crashing after the log-in screen, just as the hand-scan animation is about to animate. Or during the loading screen just after the hand-scanner. And these methods are for Vista/Win7 OS, being that these OS's are very picky on files being changed by other programs. I hope this helps anyone having issues enjoying the game!
