Recent Website Improvements

Hello everyone, this is my first post since joining the emulator sometime around last December. I want to start off by giving a shoutout to the GM's and Devs that have made it possible for me to reconnect with people that I thought I would never see again, after 8 long years.

I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but I wanted to comment on some of the additions that have been made to the website, such as the database and offline vault transfer services, etc.

These additions have really enhanced the game experience. The completeness of the database makes it so much easier to get a hold of what you need, and the vault transfer system is so amazingly efficient you have to wonder how the original developers couldn't come up with it. One suggestion I'd like to make would be to simply make it easier to search for items that are class specific. Rather than screening items as "Jenquai Restricted" or "Warrior only", maybe add a feature that allows you to search "Progen Warrior Accessible Devices/Reactors/Shields", etc. I feel like a player-judged Item rating system could help new players figure out which gear they should shoot for, like a 1-5 star grading system - where something ubiquitous like the CFB shield receiving 5 stars, while something more useless like the Wrath of the Forlorn beam could get 1 (or zero if possible.. come on Devs, give the WoF some love:)

Again, I apologize if this isn't the right section for this post, but I just wanted to raise some awareness and get more people brainstorming ideas for what has already become a very awesome tool. I know I use Net-7.org every time I log on just like many of you, and the better this service becomes, the better this game as a whole will be, and the more people we'll be able to get (and KEEP) involved.

This has been an awesome community and I'm very happy to be a part of it. Thanks again to the Devs and GM's for all your efforts, and also to the people that make the game what it is. Let's keep this website going and expanding, and I firmly believe the game itself will follow suit.

We've made a change to the DB search already going live with next update:
"Usable by..."

and then you can choose from the 9 possible race/prof combination.

Dont think so, since its "stamped" deeply into the system at many points.
Name changes are done by GMs and on occasion - like inappropiate names etc.

Aye, but if it was possible via the portal and was something worth considering, it could be set up similar to the avatar transfer service, where a toon can only be renamed once every 180 or so days. You could limit it even further by having the limit apply to any toon on any of the player's accounts, or across all of them.

Admittedly, I don't know what all is involved in that though... just throwing it out there.
