Architecti Scuti

Recommended Posts

Will have a Dynamic Talk tree so you can (hopefully) find out what part of the chain of misions you should be on.

Will have Dynamic Faction in the next patch, affecting her missions and her interractions with you.

What is dynamic faction?
Stage I and Stage III Agrippa Technology missions currently (and probably will remain) set as default Collegia Faction.

Stage II however has a base faction that will be increases or reduced due to other factions.
Build Shields has been the chosen line to start testing this (which I have done).

Architecti Scuti is of the Collegia. These have been tasked by Gratis Augustus Var to break the stranglehold of InfinitiCorp and create items for the Centuriata. This means that above a certain faction value of Centuriata, Architecti Scuti will apply a 20% reduction into the Collegia Faction cost for her missions. However, above a certain level of InfinitiCorp she will apply a 20% increase into the Collegia Faction cost of her missions.

Architecti Scuti has her own personal aims that are unknown. She has one personal positive faction (20% reduction in Collegia Faction cost) and one personal hatred (20% increase in Collegia Faction cost) of her missions.

Architecti Scuti is Progen and loyal to her hierarchy. Therefore, like most honest people ( ? ) she dislikes the Red Dragon threat in Progen Space. High Red Dragon faction will have a detrimental 20% increase in Faction cost of her missions.

If one of her missions had a base value of 5000 faction, then someone who had good faction with her chosen favorite faction and the Centuriata and no detrimental factions, then they would only need 5000 x 0.6 = 3000 Collegia faction to do that mission.

However, someone who is scum in her eyes would need to have 5000 x 1.6 = 8000 Collegia faction to do the same mission. She also may take further steps here.

Different Architecti will have different personal factions in play.

Please note:
• Chosen dynamic faction level for other factions is positive and quite high(ish)
• Negative factions do not come into play (other than Collegia Faction)

  • 1 month later...
It would be helpful if each mission NPC with faction requirements had a talk tree that let us figure out their feelings towards the various factions. Could we get this info well before we otherwise qualify for their missions, so that we don't accidentally close off a mission we really want? I could see this becoming a big source of frustration (faction takes a lot of work to change).

Nothing implemented here will have a very bad effect; the player(s) simply will require more Collegia faction if they have some of the factions that she dislikes.

I'm under the impression that some of these missions have a level cap. If that is true, then people may not be able to fix their faction before they out-level the mission. Some players would find that very frustrating, especially if they'd created the character with these missions in mind.

All the agrippa stuff is Hull Level based, what does this mean?
That means that the mission(s) are available at say Hull Level 50 for a PP, as long as they don't take a Hull upgrade that exceeds L75 before they complete a taken mission, then they are still ELEGIBLE to continue with the mission(s) and subsequent missions in that line at later levels.

In short, they could be level 150 before completeing any agrippa tech mission taken @ L50 HU, just as long as they didn't take the L75 or L100 or L135HU before doing so. That gives them plenty of leeway to meet any other requirement(s) such as faction to get the mission, or complete some phase of mission(s), you need just not to take the HU until so. Yeh.
So long as they are not tempted to advance their hull (hull upgrade) in any way, that is the route around it.

This applies to Stage I and other Progen Token missions only.

(Of course, you will be pitted against foes with limited weapon/device slots and a weaker hull, but capping due to overall level would be too ... restrictive)

The other way, of course, is to always fight with XP debt active. Then you gain no levels, but still will get faction.

Do either of these solutions sound fun?

Sorry, not true....with xp debt your xp gain is full, just that half goes toward debt (half to debt/ half to level) until xp debt is paid off , thus you are still gaining level and xp, just at half speed :). True the faction gain is not hampered during xp debt/half xp gain....
