How about having some orefields guarded by mobs that are immune or very resistant to Plasma, but take normal damage from Energy, Explosive, and either Impact or Chem. It would mean that a JE would have more use for the Energy beams that he already has, and has a reason to bring a JT along (She could use her Cobalt Megahurtz or Manticore's Dire Anguish), Scouts would have to use Explosive Ammo in those orefields (He would bring a Salamander's or a Crimson Megahurtz), and a PE would carry either Impact or Chem (PE can use the Basilisk to debuff Chem). A JE or PE, when he got one, would bring his Chili-Popper to debuff Impact/Energy. The Manes and it's Plasma resistant/immune counterpart, should not be guarding the same orefield.
