Lately alot of Mastodon, Porcupine Tree, High on Fire (chomping at the bit for their next album Snakes for the Divine), Gordian Knot, and Nile for when I feel like some death metal. Classic Rock, Prog, and Metal pretty exclusively.

Heard of Mastodon, but not any of the others. I'll have to give them all a listen. I like anything really besides hardcore rap. Mostly because that's just talking to a beat with no real music. But that's just my opinion.

I lol'd at that. all i could thing of is a ship flying a trade run blasting danger zone with the pilot trying not to be utterly bored with everything. was kind of amusing. Tool is good stuff too, not a huge fan of deftones but that's ok. not gonna hate on them or anything lol

another song I like to use is from the movie the Blues Brothers... when they are in the elevator going to the assesors office with an instrumental of The Girl from Ipanema in the background... I use this when I am grinding even level mobs in combat that have no actual chance of killing me...
