  1. Ahhh I was referring more to commanding a nav and game balance. Since 5 PWs will easily sap much greater than 51% of a bosses health in 1 second. I guess 5 JDs could do the same.
  2. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the 5 shield sapping PWs in a group.
  3. This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to convert the stream from UDP at the server to TCP and then pipe it to the client box where it is then reconverted back to UDP? That would keep all the UDP portion on local machines and thus shouldn't be susceptible to a lot of these drop packet issues. Maybe I am misunderstanding the issue though.
  4. I guess I could see that. How about 150% or something more than 125%. The astronomical price of that "little bit more" is a good credit sink and adds value to endgamers.
  5. That is actually a pretty good idea. In fact, why not use these floating guardians to add a new element to the game. When shot below 80% shield they could reveal their true identity as XYZ boss. If mined, they fire back without revealing themselves. They could be almost as difficult as a raid boss and require a group or two to kill. This would ensure they are powerful enough to wipe out a solo macro miner, but weak enough to be killed by a big gang. Of course the reward would be some  new rare loot or maybe a key to unlock a different raid like FB.   Just a comment about balance: I disagree that a warrior can be cl 50 and have no problem with EL and TL at 20. Your shields and reactor will be grossly insufficient. For combat you do need to be more or less balanced. I feel mining should be the same way. Not as extreme as this, but there should be a couple appropriate lvl guardians in each high level field with a 30-40 min spawn. This system worked in live and everyone was fine with it. No need to reinvent the wheel imho.
  6. You're going to need to continually hunt to be able to reasonably increase the percentage. The cost would be huge even with a 15,000 base price. 1.1bn to take a device from 125% to 200%. Can the wallet even hold that much credits?   Yes some devices would need tweaking or would be really powerful... but the cost can be made equally staggering.
  7. I don't see the point in capping a 125%. Being able to go to 200% is what makes this a great credit sink and worth while. Costing 1.1bn to do that is quite a sum of money. You're not going to have all that many devices at that level. If the idea is just to restore the item to the % it was, I don't see the point in working to impliment a system. My items haven't lost any percentage, but I guess I could see it happening if you were to die and JS a lot.
  8. I'd love to see this. I think the correct BF value is somewhere around 10,000 credits. To go from 125 to 200% would be 1.1Bn credits. To get a 125% device to 140% though would be 180mil or so. This would really help balance the market out.
  9. Man, this response is a joke. You're talking to us like we are children. You do realize there may be more than one opinion right? Have you ever stopped to think that maybe your opinions on some of these matters are actually the minority? You talk about AAs being rare, when they simply are not; you talk about multi-boxing being a peference, as if it doesn't effect everyone else at the nav. You don't acknowledge that there are some seriously broken aspects of this game that were not in live. How can you expect this game to grow with such a close minded view of things? Someone as involved in this game as yourself could be a real asset to furthering it, but instead it seems like you just want to be the forum warrior making comments like "some of us don't have mommy and daddy to pay the bills". What is this, a school playground? I really hope you turn your attitude around and contribute to the discussion rather than resorting to belittling others viewpoints.
  10. This simply isn't true. There are enough people multiboxing to change the dynamic easily. Go to tengu navs or any station and you will see multiple characters more often than not. Across the whole galaxy maybe not as many multiboxing, but certainly enough to change the dynamic.
  11. Because it hanges the entire game dynamic... In live there were far fewer accounts per head. Its changes drastically.
  12. So you think the game is bettered by multiboxing 4-6 chars? Do you think it makes the game better or worse, I am genguinely interested in your opinion.
  13. Fixing the sever takes longer during this hour...
  14.     WOW sucks. And wow you missed all the points in my post. Are you seriously trying to suggest that an MMO is BETTER when everyone can play 4+ characters at once?
  15. Wrong. There are way way way way wayyyyy too many AAs in game. The market is generally broken, people don't know what things are worth, and credit values swing all over the place. Its more luck of the draw getting someone to sell. If you think AAs start at 50 mil... you've been getting ripped off. You can sell SSR8s for 300 mil and those are way more common than AAs were in live. Just to underscore this, I picked up (bought) 3 AAs on market last week. A lvl 7 Gahkur for 5mil, another for 10mil, and an 8 for 20mil. AAs are all over the place. It shouldn't be that way.   To me the single biggest thing ruining this game is the mass multiboxing. Yes, one alt is nice, but people fly around with 4 of them. You show up to hunt fish and there are groups with SomeoneJD, SomeonePW, SomeoneXY, SomeoneYZ. Its just retarded. Whats next? 12 box and run raids solo? I have 3 alts, but would gladly go down to one character if everyone else did. Being able to solo everything without interacting with anyone is a great way to kill an MMO.
