When you installed, there was a small window looking for an excutable. Did you look for the \Games\Earth & Beyond\release\client.exe file, or could you have mistook it looking for the gpatch.exe or e&b.exe in the Earth and Beyond root folder? The window pops up and in the 'title bar' it's searching for client.exe but doesn't say out right what it is looking for, and the installer has to know where it is. Once installing that to the correct file will it patch correctly. Been there. Once I installed it again and fould the correct folder then the game went ahead and patched correctly - before it was placing duplicate copies of E&B in areas I didn't like until I noticed the "client.exe" in the title bar of the pop-up window.

  I been dragging a trader of sorts with my main for the extra room & support. Having your own TT makes starting out more enjoyable. Thanks to Karu am able to dual-box on a wifi connection. Tempted to try tri-boxing once I get the hang of coordinating the various windows.   Wished was a way to run a 1366 x 768 windows for the main & the other two windows at 800x600. My mains are explorers and am always on the search for hulks, so I like a 1366 x 768 window is the bare minimum. Was thinking of adding a third alt for the extra fire power as have not found many others asking or looking for a group at the lower to mid levels. That and I could use even more extra room now too. /grin   If could manage three windows I could try out the Jenquai Defender or Terran Enforcer then pull a TT and a miner. That would be the perfect setup, and of course a larger widescreen would be even better.

Am thinking that is quite the possibility. Was running on fumes & coffee all day yesterday. :wacko:

Did good for the most part. Much later in the evening one account or the other would cease to function. One time I noticed four net7proxy's in Task Manager.   Is hard to tell which client stopped working since cannot close the affected window. It's strange that one or the other would stop working, or one after the other - not at the same time. Since am running on the same machine, same single wifi adapter, a drop should affect both game instances ... but where one account goes down and not the other it almost seems like individual accounts are targeted. For the most part it is working great. :D Oh well, going to bed. Been a very long day. Still happy that I can run both accounts at the same time now.

Ever get te deja'vu feeling like you've been here/done this before? Wonder if this occurred way back then too??

Wow, you are GOOOD!! Yes, I can run both accounts on the PC now with the single wireless connection. Will try on the laptop later this evening to see if it works there too. THANK YOU!! Would buy you a pizza in game if I could. Does EnB have a pizza delivery service?

That file didn't do a thing for me, though am on a wireless connection. It appeared to be working, yet was unable to run two different accounts (on two different emails) on same wireless conenction.

Have tried running two instances of EnB on a Win7 x64 machine, although I'm on a single wireless connection. Made two different accounts with two separate emails - did link them into one main account. Run up Net-7, log in, and select a character to play. Run up another instance of Net-7, login to the other account, and get not the game. What happens is one account will lock up, no error messages or anything, just become non-functional. Even chat will not display. Closing the working account does not allow the first instance to run, actually have to manually close the client/main from task Manager to close it. Seems only one game instance is allowed to run. Back in the days of regular EnB I had to copy the game directories to two different hard drives/partitions and was able to run two instances that way - but then too I was on a wired connection. Since the emulator intervenes the EnB game I've not found a way to run two instances of the game in this fashion. Did get EnB installed on the laptop. Trying to use both PC & laptop in limited space is challenging to say the least. And I use Connectify.me on same wireless connection which gives the laptop a better signal - as the PC's external antenna is far superior. Was running both accounts fairly well. Lot of times I or the laptop account would cease to run for no apparent reason. Am guessing bandwidth issue on my end, or something between my connection to the EnB servers. A few times I had to reset the connection using a batch file to reset the connection and get back into the game - though am running two instances through the same wireless connection using two different machines this time. Batch file 'IP Renew.bat' ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /release & ipconfig /renew Wished I could somehow run two instances of EnB on the PC ... and be able to use both accounts . Have tried the 'Net7MultiClientUnlocker' although I'm not too trusting on that. Doesn't help anyhow. Now on the laptop I have two NIC adapters and tried running two instances of EnB from it, each account was on a separate NIC adapter and had different IP addresses. However the laptop obviously only has one hard drive, and it's running Win10 x64 - though the 14" widescreen is difficult to see (and impossible to increase input text chat size). Trying to run two instances of EnB with the same two different accounts & two different IP addresses, was still unable to run two instances of EnB. Again one account was functional (the 2nd) and the other would lock up (1st).

Unless you did something... all I did was adding a picture and tried again and Net-7 allowed me in from the forum link up top.  :D Had to been something that you did, as the former link works now too - it didn't before. Thank you, Karu!!

If using the same password as the forum, I enter name & password, click login. Somethign flashes across the screen in very small text, then back to where I was. Will try Opera browser. No change, cannot log in. No error message, just that: Not logged in or no game account created. Tried logging in with the second account, that was linked, to no avail. Not getting in to Net-7.org sicne the cookies were removed.

Okay, reset the password twice now, all it does is reset the password for the forum. Net-7 isn't accepting the temporary password nor what I changed it to over here. The links in the email keep pointing to the ENB forums, not Net-7 where the issue is. Guess you'll have to reset Net-7's password and relay it to me in email?

Reset the password, did the captcha thing, validated, got new password, Net-7 doesn't accept it. Looks like the lost password is only resetting the enb-forum password and not Net-7's password, assuming both have separate passwords. And I just lost the temp password for here. Am tired, is 3AM

More of like not wanting to have to go through that reset via lost password again. Done it like 8 times tonight, and countless times yesterday.

Not able to log into Net-7.org   Can log into game & forum successfully.

Okay, this is odd. Reset the password here, can log in okay.   Go to Net-7.org and it is rejecting the password. Can go to Net-7.org Wiki to look up Hull Upgrades, log in with the password used here and it logs me in just fine. So am logged in at Net-7 WIki still, but going to Net-7.org it is rejecting passwords; Not logged in or no game account created. Can log into the Wiki but not the Account pages of Net-7.org

Deleted everything enb & Net7.org. Cannot log into Net-7 at all now. Did the 'forgot my password' and that cahnges this Forum password but Net-7 rejects it. Tried all of today's Net-7 passwords from the previous resets and nothing is being accepted for Net-7. Will have to change the password here back to what I prefer to use in the game, as I'm not going to type in 'fc8e4804b5858e5' every time I want to log into the game.

Not using special characters. And like I stated before, I have to use the Lost Password scenario in order to log into to Net-7. Like now, I'm logged in with a 5 letter/number password that AutherDent created for me. Forum and Game I can log into without any issues. Tried logging into Net-7 and it is rejecting said password. Only way i have been able to log into Net-7.org is to use the Lost Password feature - every time. As it stands am logged in this forum & in the game, yet unable to log into Net-7. After acquiring a new password, it only changed it over here. Tried logging into Net-7 with the newly reset/changed password I did 5 minuets ago and it rejected it. Seems whatever password I use here & in the game (same thing) Net-7 rejects. So I have to do the whole reset thing and only use the changed password in Net-7 each time, then come over here and reset it to something easier to remember. Since cnanot copy the password into the emulator there's no way I'm going to remember each changed password needed to get into Net-7.

Been at this all week. A DEv named Arthurent even  tried helping me today, and seems to be an issue with Net-7 not being able to validate the password from the EnB forum account. What usually happens is I can login to this forum & game with nary an issue. When I want to adjust something, like adding a second account or something, will have to log into Net-7. Each time I log into Net-7 it rejects the password I have set on the ENB Forum account. Only method I foudn that works is using the Lost Password thing. But that gets annoying having to align the pictures for the Capcha as my optical mouse doesn't quite line up things very well at times. So that sends out a link to the email, whcih I click, then send out another link via email with a new long password with letters and numbers. Enter that into the link, get logged in to do net-7 business. Then it is back to the forum to change the password to something a lot more easier to type in (letters & numbers). If Net-7 ever gets closed, browser get restarted, or reboot the machine I have to do this whole rigamorale over again if i need to log back into Net-7. As stated before, the log in to the END Forum and Game have no issues with the password thing. It is only when trying to log into Net-7 that i ahve to do the whole Lost Password thing again as Net-7 cannot seem to validate the already established password. Been down this road all week long trying to set up another alt account to help me transfer and get aorund in the game better. Used another email for the secondary account and seems to be getting by just fine. Am using Windows 7, 64 bit, and Firefox 40.0.3 and use LastPass as a password manager. If wans't for LastPass and NotePad I'd be lost in all these endless password changes.

Okay... Net7Proxy is stating: Server Failed to respond to Login attempt. Gave the executable Administrative rights. Am assuning that if I get past this point I can log in? But I have to get past this error first... /sigh So wanted to see E&B tonight. Ahh, see what the issue was. Had to adjust the Local IP address. Had to change password; that was an ordeal. Kept it simple this time. Now am staring at the map screen and seems to be no progress past that. Been at this since 6PM, and it's after 1AM now. Am guessing I shoudl skip the tutorial to relearn the game?   Note: Unchecking the Packet Optimizer was the key to logging in - since I'm on wifi only.

Had 7 Installation issues.   2 Things I noticed after several trial & errors: Install Net-7 to its default location. That seems to been part of an issue I was having. The small button on the right appears to be looking for an executable, in which I thought (as during setup) it was looking for e&b.exe in which it was not - it was searching for \Games\Earth & Beyond\release\client.exe as seen in the title bar. The bottom-right button was misleading in the text written on the button, however the title bar gave away as to what the search box was looking for. So once pointing this to the correct file, client.exe Am now looking at a place to lig on and create something.  :D

Been missing E&B ever since the game ended. Missed the final confrontation of the V'rix take over - or whatever happened. Read of the game's demise, and over time I kept hearing about this emulator. Have tried installing this a few years ago and still to this day I cannot install the game into Windows 7 x64. I have tried the downloaded file, and even dug out the 2 disc CD demo. Both installations have the same issue, and give me an error from the get go: "Error 1334. The file 'mssds3dh.m3d' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'EBConfig.cab'. This could indicate a network error, and error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. The updater file does have the missing file, but there's no way I can insert that missing file into the cabinet file. I'm not a programmer so that whole VB thing that Microsoft claims might work just boggles my mind. I can do the computer techy stuff no problem. So, I have run the little batch file that came with the patch. Still  Cannot install. Have extracted every file from the cabinets and still no go. Crashes at the same Error 1334. Am about to reboot to Windows 10 x32 that is installed to the other hard drive to see if I can at least attain an installation. Think I had this problem with Windows XP once, but I cannot fathom how I fixed it - been ages ago. So how does one get this game to install? Is there a cabinet file with the missing mssds3dh.m3d already embedded inside it so I can install E&B? Edit: Oddly enough Windows 10 and no issues installing Earth & Beyond from the downloaded file. However I have to run E&B from Win7 as Win10 keeps killing the Creative Labs X-Fi audio drivers. So maybe I might see the game tonight?
