1. Hi my name is Bongani I am here on behalf of Lelo, how do I send a message to guild chat please
2. Guess the mobs are excited, they had never had so much fun in ages. It was so embarassing having to run from a level 3 worm
3. Ahh so it's still broken, lemme go see if I can find someone online to move my toon, failing that my toon is SkunkytheJD.
4. @Zackman sorry I had to rush to work didn't see your reply is Saturn still broke?
5. Ahhh this explains why I can't log on my JD he undocked from station and now can't log him back in.
6. I see it states on the portal update that I did the PS and JD, I only did the PS not the JD.
7. Let me start of by saying, are you trying to kill us. I don't mind the shield testing where I had to go kill 5 cl42 rds, after that I figured how worse can it get. Not to mention the running around getting nearly impossible components. You have the nerve to send me to kill 20 or so Cl51 Ten-gu blights. Fortunately I had the good sense to bring some backup, even then things were a bit iffy for a while, as you know Ten-gu are not really friendly mobs, they come at you like you were the last piece of roast beef at a buffet. What I want you to know is that I LOVE IT!!!, keeps you in the game, yes drives you mad and have you rambling alone at nite but its awesome, personally it keeps me in the game, a million times better than the job grind and killing mobs for loot, great job, hell awesome job. And as soon as my PP is done with it I am making a PS just for agrippa. Once again fantastic job!!!
8. Posted by C Del "Posted 29 December 2010 - 09:29 PM Hmm. Reboot your computer and run LaunchNet7 as an administrator (can be done by right-clicking LaunchNet7 > Run as Administrator). It appears that the launcher isn't starting the client for some reason. I would also recommend opening up the task manager to see if "client.exe" is running under the "Processes" tab, if the client still does not appear." I checked and the launcher isn't starting the client, any pointers here?
9. Hi folks I have finally managed to setup the game at work, yes I know I know. Now here is my problem. I hit LaunchNet7 and the windows pops up, checks for updates and tells me that all is good and the server is on-line. Then it throws the lil icon at the bottom which shows Login when I hover above it, then after a few minutes it just disappears, and thats as far as I can get. And yes I have done everything on the FAQs page, and also did 2 clean re-installs. Any suggestions?
10. Thanx Rolo, go easy on yourself Greggary
11. DS9 you say, now that you mention it I think I will go watch Stargate Universe.
12. Wow you got freelancer I played that a few times. Darkstar was also great. I bought X3 but just played it for a few hours then I gave up, at that time the controls were a bit tricky for me and folks told me that it's better with a joystick. As for mmo's this is the only one I have played.
13. I was wondering what happened, guess its time to go see what's happening in real life
14.
Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\LaunchNet7\LaunchNet7.exe_Url_33uz3155fe0lw51jyicbrfpxh3h01gh0\1.9.4.0", delete "user.config", and try again.
Worked like a charm, thanx a lot
15. Awwwww come on, who gave me another -1 for that comment. I am at -21 now. And thanx Rolo for the restart
16. Wanted to say something about this then checked my rating -20 bad, so I will just keep quiet
17. My bet is that the login server was down https://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/5823-server-status/page__st__3280
18. This is my last post on this issue, thank you Amelea I will try to follow your advice in the future, to everyone else no harm intended, I just have a "funny" way of raising issues as I have learned from this thread. Nuff said, if you have something to say to me I will be in Antares. And if you have nothing to say to me I will still be in Antares
19.
Kyp: Well said, and thank you for saying it. As somebody who has taken care of stuff online for other people for years, I know exactly what it's like to get bitched at for doing a job that people apparently merely expect you to do, as if it was their due. FireRibs: Shut the bloody hell up. Please. You actually are grilling a dev on what he or she is doing with their personal time? Excuse me? Who the hell are you to even ask such inherently insulting questions? I can tell you that if I was a dev, and you were grilling me on my personal life in public like that, I'd have kicked you out on your ass. You may not like that the server was down all day, but that's tough. Post something funny to ease the wait and do something else for a while. I did. Frankly, as somebody who has been on the receiving end of that kind of crap for years now, I think you should count yourself lucky that you're even here. If this was Second Life, and you were bitching on my sim about the way that I spend my private time with friends and family, I'd have banned your ass. Hell, I'd have banned it and muted you so I wouldn't have to listen to you complain. You crossed the line. Legitimate criticism is fine, but you went way out there. You might as well have been demanding a breakdown of a dev's morning routine, their work routine, what they were doing every second of the day, and their actual reasons for living a life outside of your game time. You sounded like a frigging inquisitor. I was going to bitch you out last night, but I was so tired with working all morning, all day, and all night on learning Objective-C that I didn't want to bother. But this morning, after reading over your venomous tripe once more, I can't resist the bloody urge. Next time, if you have to ask somebody something about their daily routine, don't be such an insulting jackass about it. By the way, I don't think I even voted you down yesterday while you were moaning and complaining about it. I'm new to the boards. But I'm not new to online communities. You deserve more than a vote down, sir.
Thank you Savanna, for your most enlightening post. Now fasten your seat belt, it would appear that I insulted you more than Rolo, now as for the matter of public life and private life, the devs and anyone else involved in the development of this EMU know (should know) that they are public figures and they are prone to public scrutiny, just like politicians when they do a good job they don't get praised and when they do a bad job I am the only one screaming murder. These people have been doing a good job for years and they need to be told when they suck, because by doing so we show them the error of their ways, if server goes down for 24 hours and no one says anything then they think it's okay, next time its down for 48 hours ahhh well its fine, you know why because none of you will complain. I appreciate the work done on this project just like everyone else, truth be told if something is not right then someone should speak up, there are a lot of glitches in the game which I hope are reported in the bug tracker and there is a whole lot of people complaining about lack of content, the ones running the bots and leaving because of lack of content are doing more harm than my comments and the one enjoying the glitches are ruining it even further. The day this game goes live I will be one of the people paying for a subscription, has it ever occurred to you that sooner or later we are going to have to pay for this, that it will no longer be a donation system? And I would love to see how you react then then when the server is offline for 24 hours. Evidently my comments offended a lot of people and I don't care because I said what I thought at the time. Now I did ask for no vulgar language as I did not use it in my comments. Just for the record I appreciate the work that is being done here, and as for T.P.T.B you need to be told when you miss a step, that way you would be the better because of it!!!
20. DING, -7 more rep for me, keep em coming. By your own admission Rolo server was down 30 minutes after you went to work. Now lets say you work a 12 hour shift which implies it took you 6 hours after work to realise that server was off, am I correct?
