After the server started it was good for about 10-15 minutes (enough time to zip from F7 to EST then to scout newbie sector, dock there and then dock in Margesi - and fly back through Earth sector) then session change hung trying to gate from Saturn into Glenn. A few login attempts in a row returned -300 errors before getting through to character selection but then gets stuck on map screen. Reminds me of that sticky session thread a few months ago.

Well, the tale is that grail water for example, is hard to find. Not sure what the field mechanics are now so this is speculation - if a miner cherry picks the IX ores then the field won't replenish those ores until the field is cleared and may be this explains why grail water is hard to find.

Mylex I can appreciate points in 1) about taking the "dead time" out of the game. The points in 2) I can't see happening as that would involve a complete content re-write. Perhaps one day another emulator will spring to life that offers Earth & Beyond with a completely different content to live that offers 1) and 2) and a bunch of other improved-over-live features -- that's the only hope really.

Got stuck on my sentinel trying to complete devices stage one would appreciate some help please. My sentinel completed shields stage one and got the invite to stage two with a symbol of loyalty too. She hasn't gotten either of those two items yet for devices from Vasi. I think Vasi last mentioned something to my sentinel about acquiring the Calathius Omega Beam so I got a beam tried talking to Vasi again but no continuation so far for stage one devices. I'm confused about what comes next with Vasi in order to complete stage one devices and get the invite + symbol. Any ideas?

The CL55s were either named Oni Protectors or Oni Guardians may be there some of both. The ZTG had rally and area menace and 700k shields (yeh bet that turns in 7M shields in the emulator lol).

Why wait? Do it every weekend.

[/quote] ZTG CL66 + bunch of Oni Protectors CL55 The protectors shield recharged the ZTG - the CL66 + CL55s were all fairly resistant to plasma damage. I can't remember how many protectors spawned with the ZTG and I think a bunch of CL40 manes might've spawned with the ZTG + OPs too -- just to add extra fun interference. As guilds got better at the encounter it was usual to primary the ZTG ignoring the OPs and manes and take it down in 20 seconds or so.

My best memories of Xipe Totec were activating the OCD and the encounter. Not my guild, but Gatekeepers of Unimatrix Zero on Andromeda were the first to discover the encounter and run it. My guild had fun working together to prepare and then run the encounter. Activations always had to be done in secrecy to avoid another guild dropping in and attempting to KS the ZTG. Learning how to disable the Intzalan Line was another distinctive memory. Anyone who spent any time in XT got that grid burned into their retinas so disabling it was a moment of joy.

Why would missiles fired at close range by a mob do less damage? I know, it's just for the sake of the idea but it still doesn't make sense. Plus factor in kiting mobs in general added with tethering and mobs trying to stay at range in the process may get pushed beyond tether limit and double-speed it away with trying to close in to point-blank.

[/quote] In principle I would agree but not the top level stuff in a series of items - for example the Jade/Silver/Gold Scale shields L4 through L6. It might be alright to vendor sell the L4 but IMO not alright to sell the L6 and the L6 should be available only as loot. Otherwise obtaining recipes just becomes face-rolling-easy once you've gotten RD faction (or more likely someone else has gotten RD faction and becomes a distributor on your behalf).

On a different note: Gold Scale L6 and Falkirk Delta L5 both buyable in Charon Cloister. IMO neither should be available from the vendor (may be lower levels perhaps not at all any level). They do drop and in live were not vendor sold.

Onyx Ogun L5 doesn't drop. (Used to be able to buy it from the vendor on Charon Cloister -- which was bad. Used to drop from the Research Vessels in Grissom. In live it dropped from a Chavez boss mob in Glenn after an escalation).

Why does WH9 drop from Kuei base modules??! It's nothing to do with RDs! In live it dropped from a high level Sabine floating about in the Lagarto fields, it was probably 60+. Better if it dropped from the capital ships in Tarsis, at least they're Progen.

Now you think it's back on the Bio CL50s? The database says it isn't dropping so my faith is pretty low.

Also not dropping? Dragontooth L5, Black Widow L8.

Not dropping? Golden Dragon L9.

Are these missing too? Golden Eagle, Ronin Yoroi L3/4, Warriors Heart L9.
