I dont remember from live tho that it was that much items getting a hit? Wasnt it 1-3 ? I remember my weapons taking damage OR engine OR reactor, but not everything? Anyway, i did some testing and changed a few things now. We have a bell curve(5) now which is mainly controlled via damage amount, damage control and Mob CL in diff. to you CL. So a JE CL 50 hit from a L64 will most likely take about 4-7% damage on items. A PW with HDC will take more like 1-4% damage. A level 66 will most likely hit the PW for 5-7%, the JE for almost 7%. There is also a chance that no items get damaged (30%). If a Level 56% hit the JE, the damage is 2-4%, on the PW most likely 1-3%. We must not forget that we have also "Repair" as a working skill, which is doing a pretty good job. Thoughts about these numbers?

Ok, since hull patch and item damage is tied close together, we are still on topic i guess Lets make it easy and "live like", no "nerf hammer" or whatever - we want fun finally - so things need to be challenging. Kyp said "5 % bell curve" so we have a "hot spot" on 5 and lower chances to the flanks/sides. The 5% will be based on the damage the mob did and the level he is. So the chances are high to get a 5% hit when a L66 kills you "with nor mercy" but low when you got killed by a L28 Chavez while watching TV... Sounds good to me, sounds "live like" - i remeber getting hit in structure when 5 X 62-66 killed me, but almost no loss when i got killed from Chavez after my "faction farming macro" crashed (oups...did i say this loud?)

What was the damage amount on live? I remember something 1-3 % ? Do you have accurate numbers?
-
Ya, good hint. What is it currently like? (Didn' look it up so far).
-
It's currently 1.0 s minimum wind-up time, that's why i mentioned a half-second change in my previous posting. I changed it now (code wise) to 1.5s.
At SL 7: Tiers 1-2 activate in 1.5 seconds, Tier 2 requires SL3 = 5.5 - (7 - 3) = 1.5(minimum) Tier 3 activates in 3.5 seconds, Tier 3 requires SL5 = 5.5 - (7 - 5) = 3.5 Tier 4 activates in 4.5 seconds, Tier 4 requires SL6 = 5.5 - (7 - 6) = 4.5 TIer 5 actiaves in 5.5 seconds At SL 10: Tiers 1-4 activates in 1.5 seconds, 5.5 - (10 - 6) = 1.5(minimum). Tier 5 activates in 2.5 seconds, 5.5 - (10 - 7).
THATS is what we need, hard numbers Tnx much Will, HP will be changed to that (which is basically just a half-second change since the wind-up is calculated like that exactly). So the skill will be like in live: No energy use, wind-up time as above. Anyway...Ryle, dont worry about "mass spamming" - there are changes as well now regarding aggro behaviour for healers.....
-
When you say it was wind up in live and no cooldown, we can do it this way - NP. 5s? Thats enough to stop "mass patching"?
-
It costs ZERO reactor to use. (really?)
YES. Hover the skill (description) - zero energy. Some players said also the prima guide is mentioning this. But about the time (cooldown) - Question: Is there a cooldown? I remember a cooldown from live...do we know numbers?
-
I look you up ingame later, we can sort it there.
-
Ya, known. Its not really the comp. mode we are forcing (the IE9 has two diff. "sections" of modes), we are forcing the IE9 to fallback into IE8 mode. This unholy IE...why is it offering certain "compatibility" modes anyway, you wonder.... If your tool is W3C-compliant you dont need any "comp." mode - than the browser should simply obey all (W3C) standards and you wouldnt face any incompatibilites at all. Safari can do this, Mozilla can do this, Google can do this, Webkit can do this....just this "pimple on the .... of the human mankind" (aka "InternetExploder") cannot - since decades! Dont think im biased...no im not...not at all......i am neutral....really !! Apple, Facebook and IExplorer - all three should be wiped from this planet, without a substitute....let the Asgard deal with it....

Diff. problem for you, you had an unactivated account. Try again now plz Blattu.
-
Ok, nice to hear its working for you, so might help others too.
-
Tnx for the report, Aviator. Question tho: Did you have problems before this change today?
-
We've added a header to the portal now to force IE9 to fallback into IE8 comp. mode. Can you people, having problems with the site, please report back if this is helping you?

Portal (Net-7.org) has been updated with the faction-restore values as they were shortly before wipe, so you are able now to restore to the pre-wipe faction values via portal. This is working for every faction individual (per row). Bug has been fixed too, Glenn Commission and Progen Combine is back on the PDA so all should be good now. If you need additional help, feel free to open a "WebHelp ticket" via Portal, as the GMs will forward tickets to that department anyway.
Any chance you could change the portal to still show the pre-wipe value, and just remove the restore faction capability once it's used?
Heya, this is exactly how it works - it removes the button once used. I am not sure i can follow...i see your factions were restored via portal and now showing exactly the values ingame like they were stored in the "restore table" pre-wipe, also the buttons are removed for the factions you restored. ??
Also job terminals should only have jobs for factions on the PDA list and portal list.
Yep, that will be the case whit the next restart !
-
Hi Rose, very nice ! Have a look around, portal has very helpful functions!
-
Ok, its live as of writing this ! Visit portal for the latest restore-options! After the next server restart, Job terminals will offer "Glenn Commission" jobs as well so you can work on that faction.
-
Morning. good news: We will offer (most likely during this day) these changes: 1. We got a backup from a few days before wipe now, so "very close" restore data! This will go to portal soon (currently populating DB) 2. You will be able to restore your home faction based on your OL (so it will range from 7500 to 12000) 3. Progen Combine will be in the restore table on portal too 4. Progen Combine will be on the PDA list 5. Glenn Commission will be on the PDA list (will initialize with +2000 to everyone since this faction had no affilliation at all) 6. Job terminals will show jobs for the factions being on your PDA, like GC, PC etc. (This might need a server restart tho, so latest availale with next restart) 7. Chavez is removed from Portal display How does that sound?

That is almost as bad as showing old photos.... BAN MYND!!!

Dragonrose, this sounds clearly like an very old Java Script Engine/Browser. It not like something ala "it worked the last 10 years ok, so why should i buy a new <machinename>?" so regular updates are a must - esp. since technologie in the net is constantly moving forward. I suggest getting the latest Google-Chrome Browser, its has one of the (if not "the") best build in Java-Script engines which also means, its a very easy install, no additional stuff needed, which might server you best.
