Smelz
Hi I am new (never played evah!) and would like to try this out, but for the life of me I cannot get the Net7 to update past 1.8.1 ( timeout on connection to update server) when I hit Play it says, I need 1.68 version of Net7 and that the server is offline.. ( good ping from CMD though) I have downloaded all the files. I have deleted and reinstalled NET7 numerous times. I have done the force update procedure. I have patched E&B using the provided installer. I have set the client for XP2 compatability and Admin priv. I run Net7 in Admin priv. I am on Vista with .NET 3.5 I am signed up here and for the stresstest and authorized. Any thought on this matter? give us a hand please I want to make stuff what am I missing? many thanks! freaknrl
Do you have any firewalls etc? You would be able to ping yes, but it might be blocking the port itself. Other then that I cannot think of what else it could be. You could always try a Fresh install of everything. Also you might be able to get a copy of an Updated Net7 if you ask around, would be happy to zip you mine. I tried as you suggested, I open port 443 T and U both in and out on Windows firewall.. to no avail. Shucks! OK so that could me more clear. I have successfully patched and here is how. The auto-patcher fails, but I was able to "check for updates " (via the launcher button on the top left corner and bam it patched.. neet-o anyhow lets see if it works. thanks for the assist on this! Kyp [LDEV]
Yes a forced update is all that would be required.
