Just got OL 50 with my PW Tengage but my mission log did not upgate. it shows the info about the L30 bonus mission, which I chose not to do, and finished the L30 HU mission without it. I tried to search for more info about this problem and lost patience quicly feeling the search feature is somehow beyond my understanding, or is taunting me for beimg thick headed.  I put in a ticket in game or at least tried to but have heard nothing back even acknowledgeing recieving said ticket.Honestly I'm not very good at some of,... er well, most of this online stuff. Any suggestions for what to try next? 10 ga.

loged in fine on all my accounts @7pm est but all my toons are wiped, Hope there is a restore plan, because suddenly all the work and time I put into my toons seems mountianous.

Hey all, hope alls well in your worlds. Can any one guide me to information on the quests and perhaps a listing of NPCs and such? Normaly I can do pretty well in quests but in the oni communication quest I have hit a stone wall on the first step. I am to look for someone that's good with magnets. Either I missed key referances in the inital dialog or I just wasn't born with that knowledge. Prolly the former but at a stand still for now. I know I can ask any of my guildies and get info that way but I would like to be able to look things up and figure it out, do my homework so to say. Any help would be much appreciated. 10 ga.

Is it me or is there an increasing amount of diffaculty makeing the game uncomfotable to play? To the point that I am looking for and playing other games. My current toon is the perfect example, a PS. OL126, 4 named guns L8, with many nice buffs and very good DPS, yet takeing out a Grissom Space Patrol is out of the question (L50). At CL46 I'm inclined to think an L50 opponent should be a challange but being only 4 CL higher easy enough to grind away and lvl up on. And don't get me going on my PW, parked and out of service until further notice. Not being a new player to this game and very happy to be playing at all, this was my first and most favorite online game Many a heart felt thank you to the DEVs and everyone else involved in the restoration of this timeless classic. It just seems the game now is way more diffacult then live was. Or seems to be. Is it only me in thinking this and do I need a reality check? 10 ga.

Am I wrong in thinking a maxed PW with decent equipment should be able to solo a L60 mech mob? I just found out about the 2 minute timer on shield sap when I got turned into a smoldering heap against the afore mentioned mob. PW is parked and on vacation until further notice. 10 ga.

Been down all morning for me, since 8 AM EST. On vacation this week and was looking forward to an all day session but that has changed now. Any devs on that can give us an idea as to how long it's gonna be ?

Tonight I ran across a few things that are of concern to me simply because they make the game way more difficult. By 'way' I mean unusualy and irratatingly diffacult. Ok to start with, why are there suddenly level 46,47 and 48 Red Dragons in Inverness at Hasters Point and Hasters End. I was on my JD overall level 35 and finaly able to do the level 50 jobs out of the Cygni Station that send you to the affore mentioned places. And to my surprise I warp in and get blasted to pieces. So not fair.... Still on my JD, I decide to work off the XP debt with combat and head for a spot with the level mobs I like to kill. These were aproxamatly 7 levels above my combat level and thought they would wipe out my debt in no time. The first mob went up in flames nicely and I thought to myself this is fun, the next one however ruined that. My energy leech quit working and I ran out of reactor energy before I could warp away or cloak or anything. Poof, more XP debt. It activated normally and the graphics were perfect but nothing happened as in no reactor energy for my ship. I tried it with psi shield on and off, tried it in the begineing of the attack and at the middle of the attack but nothing would get it to work again. I logged to desktop and logged back in to get the same results, it will work once then nothing. Now I know this is a stress test and no where near Alpha or Beta phase of deveopment and do expect this sort of thing. This expierance though has made me put the JD aside for a spell and work on other characters for now. Please don't be angered by my posting of this because I didn't intend to be objectional. Just wished to point out the diffaculties we (the players) face from time to time. I do my best to cope with the adversities of the growing game and at times do get depressed about my characters and the game play. Then I remind myself it is only a game (a very good one too) and keep telling myself it will be so great when it's all done and perfect. seems to have just happened, I loged in fine about an hour ago and the nimber of peeps online is droping not increasing

Appears the caracter selection server is down at the moment. I was on and playing but when I went to switch toons I can't get back in after selecting the toon I wanted to play.

I loged in tonight after what appeared to be a reset to find all my toons missing stuff from the valts on both accounts. Not thinking much of it I loaded up my PW and went to Cooper to find the mobs missing too. Then I checked the forums here and see no other topics on this problem. Am thinking it's just me at this point or I am missing something. Never was very good at searching these forums. Any info about this would be muchly sppreciated. 10ga.

It sounds like your referring to shield burn, shield sap takes shield from the enemy and gives it to your shield. I understand what your saying about the WOLS though which makes your recharge rate seem pathetic due to more shield to recharge. But honestly I can't imagine fighting without it at this lvl (L98) and the shield sap, I can barely kill 3 lvls over my CL now, which I thought should be possible with a normal fitting. The shield sap does give a nice chunk of damage but it's not for a quicker kill as the shield burn is. I use it mainly to keep in the battle instead of running off to recharge the shield. This gives me food for thought though and working on tactics without the WOLS may be interesting just to see what a normal recharge rate accomplishes. Thanks for the heads up ! 10ga.

Greetings fellow E&Ber's..... Just voicing, today, my growing concern about the difficulty of the game from L95 and up. I know the game is far from finished and have seen great improvements recently (it's so awesome to see the fine works done by our devs)and hope this can be helpful. I have a maxed TT (Frissbee) which is the first toon I have ever been able to get to the max 150. This was done mostly by trade runs and although painfully boring at times the progress was quite rewarding. These days I work on a PW and a JE and have noticed the difficulty increase around 95 that's like flipping a switch. Suddenly I am dreading the next 4 lvls to get new guns or kit for my ship. And at times I just want to give up. Apparently I am not the only one, 90 % of my guild has reached this area and simply just quit playing, just when we could all help each other by group action. Perhaps the people I have joined with aren't geared that way but we all had a great time together in the early lvls, which leads me to think the balance of difficulty is a wee bit skewed. I still struggle on alone but have noticed the other remaining guild mates have adapted by creating alternate toons and grouping for strength with them. Works very well too by the results seen. I had thought the group action was meant for raids and the really big mobs that you can't solo. The differences in play style for each player due to either skill or time allowed to play (we all can't play 18 hours a day or even at the same time of the day) makes grouping awkward and strained at times. Thus my beliefs of the max lvls group action. Is it just me? I would love to hear any other opinions and perhaps a reasoning of what I am missing if I am way off in this belief. Cause I know my ideas don't always match with what is right and like to think I can see and change to other ideas when enlightened. I just logged in Soap (my progen pirate) and lost all control. Logged out to finds server indicates offline 7:25 pm dst

I too am getting the "connecting to server" message and did have some luck with the local cert route but the last few days nada. This isn't like the Devs to let this go on so long, nearly a week. All through ST2 and 3 the login issues were attacked and corrected quickly and efficiently. The crashing of the newb mission and no repair has me worried also. And there's more problems cropping up every day. Have we been abandoned? Have the volunteers lost interest? Has confidence diminished to the point of apathy? It is beyond this simple man to tell what these events indicate but my gut feeling is leaning to the not so good side of the story. Please prove me wrong here for the pedestal I have the developers of this game on is starting to wiggle.

We seem to be in a chain of problems as the server has benn down a few times tonight. I also have the inv-300 error now. Nothing to do but wait and see what happens.....

guess it's off to Fallout 3 where I am wooping ET's butt in the mothership add-on.....

Looks like the server took the day off, can't say as I blame it. Been running great since the open of ST4. On a side note, my avatar is supposed to have some animation to it. Can anyone tell me how to get that to work? The location I copied it from has the animation but it didn't transfer to here.
