  1. Top warp on the L9's is 4250 vs 4k for the 8's granted not a huge difference but a difference none the less and when your talking trade runs speed is key and lets not forget navigate.
  2. First off I highly doubt that if it is decided to give the TT a 5 slot advantage over the other 2 trade class's that they will be granted 45 total slots. More likely what will happen would be a reduction of of the other trader's to 35. Secondly, we could banter back and forth all day about this but the fact of the matter is as it stands now the TT IS the superior Tradesmen even without it's 5 slot advantage period. Negotiate 7, Navigate 5, Engine Tech 9, and to top it off 5 build skills, so lets put that one to rest already.
  3. I keep hearing about balance but I have yet to see anyone address how a few extra cargo spaces would suddenly add some big game changing unbalance to the game. We are not talking hull size here which add's survivability, we are not talking extra weapon or device slots which are pretty significant changes all we are talking is a few extra cargo slots. All a few more cargo slots bring to the table is convenience, which is a GOOD thing, Terrains will still remain the best at trading and trade runs with L9 engines and Negotiate it's not like they will suddenly be knocked off the top of the trading totem poll because each archetype has equal cargo space. Look at all 3 traders right now, they have equal cargo space, I don't see any whining about how Progen and Jenquia are as good as Terrains at trade runs. So I ask again does anyone have a good argument as to how even cargo slots adds unbalance to the game other then "that's the way it is" which is really no argument at all and sounds like something my grandpa would say. *waits for the obligatory stupid* "well is adding cargo space is convenient then lets just give everyone 1000 cargo slots and call it a day." reply.
  4. As I recall the ore compressor only worked on a few different ores, I want to say 6 total but I don't really remember, so while a nice idea it was pretty limited on usefulness. The problem with ore's isn't that we need to store many stack's of the same kind of ore which is where something like a ore compressor would become of value, the problem is the shear amount of different types of ore we need to hang on to, this is where a larger vault or an "ore only" vault would come in handy.
  5. Giving a 3rd build skill to any explorer class much less a PS is a bad idea. Although build weapons would be nice, I'd gladly give up build shields for build weapons on my PS.
  6. LOL, remove build reactors? your joking right? Just what the hell do you think is one of the main purposes of a PP? I dunno maybe building PROGEN ONLY reactors might be one of them. If the PP is to lose a build skill, and I don't think they should, I would say Build Shields would be the one to go since the PS already has the covered for Progen.
  7. According to this http://tun0.com/enb/ts.htm character planer the TS's hull is 56k and the PS is 54k. I would suggest that the TS hull be reduced to 48k which is 5k more then the JE's hull which is the same difference in hull size between the JD and TE. And that the PS's hull be increase to 58k giving it 10k more hull then the TS which is the same hull difference between a PW and TE, this would seem to be the most logical to me.
  8. Oh PE's don't need any newly designed skills and while it would be nice to have HDC I would much prefer redesign of our two class unique skills, Powerdown and Repulsor field, over anything new or HDC. Lets take what we have and fix it before adding anything else.
  9. Oh hell by the time you get up to that part you outta be 35-40ish has not been a problem for any of my Progen characters thus far.
  10. Yes I suppose it would be blasphemous to expect someone to be able to do their own hull upgrade quest solo. May god forgive our unholy thoughts and spare our worthless souls for believing we might actually be able to accomplish something by ourselves in a MMO.

I agree PS should not get Navigate but that's not the reason they get L9 shields, PS L9 Shields TS L9 Engine JE L9 Reactor I also agree that PS should have the strongest hull of the Explorer archetype but for some damn reason the TS has the larger hull. As for being able to use all 3 weapon types, well this PS doesn't give a damn about using anything other then projectile weapons at least. Beams are alright for low level because they are free to shoot but no point for a PS to use beams beyond L5 weapons. As for missiles I found a limited use for them on live to kite kill mobs in Deneb that had greater range then my Projectile weapons but in live I had an extra 30 skill points to burn from referrals so it was not a big deal, now I see no point.
  12. Well of course the dev's have better things to do right now, I don't expect anything in the suggestions forum will get looked as seriously for a long time to come. But eventually when everything is working in game they way it should be (at least for the most part) missing sectors re-opened, job terminals running, and major bugs taken care of then it will be time to start looking for things to add or change. For now the suggestions forum simply give people like me who have too much time on our hands a chance to vent in a semi constrictive manner and hope for the future of EnB.
  13. Alright lets talk about balance for a second, what possible imbalance could be introduced by giving all archetypes equal cargo space with one another? If you can give me one good reason other then "that's they way it's always been" then a gold star for you my good man, and "non terrains would be equally good at trade runs" is not a good reason because all terrains still have negotiate and L9 engines making them superior at trade runs. Keeping things the same just because "that's the way it's always been" is a poor excuse for anything. You have to remember we have a totally new dev team that actually cares about this game and does not look at it as just another pay check so lets not be afraid to stir things up a bit and try something new and if it doesn't work out fine, that's what testing is for.
  14. But things already have changed with the addition of extra class's and zones and with other zones currently unavailable. And as a veteran of EnB I most certainly support change, and im not saying that things a bad the way they are only that they could be better which is ALWAYS the case with an MMO. Advocating no change in an MMO is foolish and will only lead to it's stagnation and eventual demise.
  15. Alright fair enough, but then if we are to stick to racial strengths then would you agree that the TS's hull should be reduced to be smaller then the PS's hull?

I have just been going through the character planer found here http://tun0.com/enb/ and seeing how I want to plan things out for ST4 and I noticed that with the exception of the Terran Enforcer and Terran Scout all archetypes (warrior, trader, explorer) have the exact same amount of cargo slots. The number of cargo slots looks like this at L135, Explorer Terrain 35 Jenquai 30 Progen 30 Warrior Terrain 35 Jenquai 30 Progen 30 Trader Terrain 40 Jenquai 40 Progen 40 I would propose that cargo space be based on Archetype rather then race and that these changes be made, Explorer Terrain 35 Jenquai 35 (+5) Progen 35 (+5) Warrior Terrain 30 (-5) Jenquai 30 Progen 30 Trader Terrain 40 Jenquai 40 Progen 40 Im sure that some out there most especially the TE's would disagree with a change like this but it seems like the most logical way for it to be done to me, granted I may be biased seeing as I prefer to play Progen. That said how about something like this to appease the mass's. Explorer Terrain 35 Jenquai 35 (+5) Progen 35 (+5) Warrior Terrain 35 Jenquai 35 (+5) Progen 35 (+5) Trader Terrain 40 Jenquai 40 Progen 40 So anyway that's my suggestion for the day and if for some reason the character planer is wrong and all of what I just wrote is wrong and stupid then I am sorry for wasting everyone's time
  17. Progen are supposed to be all about the combat, PD in it's current form does not support that at all. It's certainly not an offensive ability, im not even sure it could be called a defensive ability, what it most closely resembles in MMO terms is a detaunt. Hey, maybe that's not such a bad idea, rework PD so it works like a detaunt and can be used on other party member's that could have some potential if done right.

  19. My bad guess I was thinking of my L30 hull quest on my PW, but your right needing phosphorous for a PW is absolutely silly.
  20. I very much enjoy mining myself but I do agree that some of the mining quests are a bit severe in what they ask. For the mining quests the time spent should be equal to the time spent to finish a combat mission with an equal reward. So if I have a mission that will gain me 600 combat experience and I also have a mission worth 600 explorer experience to go mine some ore then both missions should about the same amount of time to accomplish, ideally anyway. Look at the discrepancy in the time it takes to do the L75 PW hull upgrade quest compared to the PS one, PW go kill some mobs, PS go collect 300 Phosphorous. I spent 4 hours mining Phosphorous and only come up with 160 finally I gave up and had a trader rip comps for the rest, my PW quest took about 2 hour's. So had I toughed it out and mined the last 140 Phosphorous it would have taken me about 7-8 hours to finish that part of the quest and lets figure another hour for the rest of the quest where as it took my PW 2 hours to finish the entire quest. So 8-9 hours vs 2 hours for what is essentially the same quest, that's a problem and there is no denying it.
  21. Since Powerdown is one of only 2 ability that are currently unique to the PS class I'd say that makes it a class defining ability, so for a class defining ability it need some serious work. A big increase to it's success rate would be nice, maybe it could give a small 30 seconds "ambush" damage buff after being deactivated, the PS is a Progen after all and setting up a ambush sounds Progenesk to me. Also the ability to move at say half thrust speed and maybe even tractor items in while Powerdown is active would be really nice. As for the PS's other class defining ability, Repulsor Field, I haven't used it at all in this version of the game but from talking to other PS's nothing has change with it since live and it remains very lackluster. As I recall, and it has been a long time so if I don't remember correctly forgive me, Repulsor Field doesn't block any damage at all, all it does is return some of the damage you take i.e. you take 100 damage you return 10. If that is the way it works this I would propose this change, you get hit for what would be 100 damage but Repulsor field block's 10 damage so you take 90 then returns the 10 extra damage back to it's source. Furthermore maybe Repulsor field could have a chance at returning enemy ability's used on you back to their source, i.e. a mob trying to use gravity link on you would have a chance of instead hitting itself with gravity link.
  22. Unfortunately for some of us Progen who's hull upgrade missions were bugged we had no choice but to take the Terrain way out, a little piece of me died that day I pushed yes for paying 300k for my L100 hull
  23. I still have mine as well, left it sitting in a closet for a good 4 years but pulled it out and have been wearing it for about a year now so it's not in the best of shape anymore but it does the job. I have even had a couple people ask me "WTF is Earth and Beyond?" when I wear it.

I fully admit my ignorance on what the Dev's can or cannot do with game code in terms of adding new things or modifying existing things and that the dev's currently have more important things to do then add in new stuff at this time but since this is the suggestions forum im just gonna throw out a few suggestion of things I would like to see in game but if it cant be done so be it. Many of us who played on the live server's will remember the promises of a guild vault which we were told time and time again was on the way but never delivered, so, if possible, I'd love to see that sometime in the future. Secondly I would really love to see some kind of shared vault between all your characters on a given account, it wouldn't have to be big 10 or even 5 slots would be just fine, it would give us guys who don't have the ability to double box a way to transfer items between characters without having to resort to the market or guild channels for help. Lastly I don't that it's any secret that when it comes to vault space Explorer's have it off worse then anyone due to the wide variety of ore they need to store, and this goes double for the PS's who have to store lots of ammo as well for feeding the ammo hungry projectile weapons. So what I'd like to see is some kind of "Ore Only" vault for storing raw and refined ore's, this would be unique to the Explorer archetype, maybe it could be tied to the prospect skill and the vault would expand in size as your prospect skill increases.
