Kraznya
Hi people :) The things that used to bug me the most at any time in E&B were having to hunt for things, not MoBs or roid ect.. but simple, available missions !. having to warp all over the place and click everyone in a station for a possible mission sucked. another was the constant spamming in market offering tours, to increase my EL to 50. So here is my first suggestion. When warping into a sector, you should be able to open your character sheet, click the mission tab, and see a button labeled "refresh" (or similar) a list will pop up giving you available missions (general or class specific) from that sector that you can accept or ignore. also listed would be the OL /CL of the mission for consideration, this would of course not include any trade jobs from the terminals. My second suggestion would be for an Experience selection ability, opening the character sheet and clicking the CL /EL or TL bar will select that skill. Experience awarded from missions or MoBs ect, will then go directly towards that skill, Again, terminal jobs will only award experience for the type of job being run. Third, all missions should have some indication of difficulty based upon the players OL /CL ect. (colored text would be nice).
Kraznya
EDIT: I was not as clear on my Experience selection ability as I intended> I realize Missions give equal XP in all 3 skills, what I meant was that if we selected a skill bar, the either the combined XP or a good portion thereof, would go directly to that skill. Killing MoBs, mining, and selling goods would also be XP selectable, the reason for this suggestion is, every toon I played had a serious shortfall in 1 area, running my TT gave great trade XP, but after a while I'd be looking at CL45 TL50 EL15, my JE on the otherhand would be awesome at the EL and TL but CL would usually sit at 10 or so until I capped the others. Elrick[IS]
Kranzya, I can see how these would make things easier. However, as mentioned below, we have no ability to change anything on the E&B game client. We can change the server side which gives us wide range on mobs, sectors, stations, missions, etc but we cannot make any changes to client to add new buttons, features, etc. So getting new popups which you click the exp bar is out of the question. Now if you have any friends at EA (do people in have friends?) who want to give us the client source code then we can talk. :)
VincentTH
Right now, if you open a talk dialog to a vendor, he/she will give you an option to find out if there are nearby missions that you can do. The lack of Client code access is a big handicap for the EMU devs. If you read some of the devs post, they spent months trying to decipher the encryption between the Client and EALive server. Also there are people on EMU (not devs) who have tried to contact EA to get the Client codes, to no avail. (See Propos's post in the thread titled "Perplexed and a bit sad"). Kraznya
I see.. I'll admit I'm pretty ignorant of the way things work code-wise in an server-client environment, but I am willing to learn. I will dig through the forums for a while and see if I can collect enough info to post some out-of-the-box ideas,
