wootage Posted January 3, 2010 Report Share Posted January 3, 2010 I'm sure you've heard already, but some char names are not showing in chat. However, it seems to be character dependent. Here's the scoop: I played my new Terran Scout for awhile, saw others with the char name problem, but I did not have it. Suddenly, I did. After awhile longer, I tried the /packetopt off command and verified that it took. Still no joy. I logged off and logged on another character, a TE. Joy - the char's name appeared in chat. Later, I logged off, tried to log on the TS and crashed the client. I restarted, logged in and once again, the TS's name did not show up in chat. That's the story, hope it helps somewhat. My char names are Teln (TS), Teld (TE) and Tels (PS, not playing him atm). Look me up if you want me to do any testing on this for you.
