Tienbau Posted April 15, 2010 Report Share Posted April 15, 2010 Hi, just wondering if it's possible to get surround sound working on the game? I have switched the sound output to 'surround' in the config tool, but still the rear speakers are silent. So far the closest I've managed to get is switching the hardware speaker control panel to 'Stereo x2' which just duplicates the left/right channels to the rear. Maybe the game is too old to have surround? Has anyone had any joy with getting actual surround sound? irrelevant Posted April 15, 2010 Report Share Posted April 15, 2010 I don't know much about sound systems, but if you could get phase-shifting from drivers going (like you get for the Headphone Virtualization feature from Realtek drivers, for example) , it could probably be done.. but that'd be driver-side rather than game-side changes... and I have no clue what I'm actually talking about, as usual, just so you know.
