  1. Not everyone knows what triggers these raids. There's no label on them to say "hey I'm a raid trigger".
There a lack of documentation also.
Anyone can get the controller mission.
All it says is kill the controller and obtain its central core.

It doesn't say it will be an epic battle, it doesn't say bring friends like some other missions do.
If I ran into the controller trigger and didn't know better, I would have killed it immediately.
Its a low level mob compared to others in BBW.

I can see how this mistake could be made is all I'm saying.

Bannable offense? I think not. The GMs and Devs are not responsible for your raids.
Though you might get kicked out of your guild if you did this.
  2. A wipe? That escalated quickly.

I have a skill that says I have a 50% chance to warp through a gravity well. The things surrounding Androzari are gravity wells, not sheers, so that 50% chance applies. I point out a case in which this 50% does not apply. That is a bug. By definition something is *not* working as intended in this case. Either the skill description needs to be change (and points refunded if so), or the skill fixed. Bugs are fixed, not maintained. Have you really become so cynical to believe bugs must be kept for 'nostalgia'? Why?

There is a place to report bugs on this site. Go to the bug tracker tab up top.

Once inside see if someone already reported your bug and what the answer might be.

If noone has reported it, open up a new bug report and tell what is happening and why you think its a bug.

Open a new report for each bug so it can be resolved.

IMHO 50% is not 100% so you have just as great a chance to not warp through a gravity well.

Could just be bad luck right.

I had this same problem. It seems to work much better if you have a RR+ installed or Navigation Comp 7 is even better.

What I do is pick my target, hit my space bar to line up said target and hit the Q key. If that doesn't work I hit the warp button.

If it still dont work I move forward and hit Q until it works. No problem. Better than having to fly manual the whole way.

You have to learn the little nuances of the game. It takes time.

    Hope this helped.

  3. Maybe faction with the station towing you has something to do with it.

i got towed today to a station I have good faction at and it cost me 500k

plus various other costs to repair my equipment.

So maybe the 2mil cost you because of lower faction at that station

  4.  Is there a file or forum that discusses the actual nuiances of the game? Like a game guide or play instructions?

This is the place to go to find out about most anything. Just do a search if you have a question on something.

Most things you will learn and remember as you go.

For detailed info go to net-7.org and check out the database with every item in the game listed there.

You can even search for certain effects and see what items have it.

More info can be found on the wiki at net-7.org/wiki

Most players will try to help you if you ask in game chat.

    Hope that helps.

    Have fun out there.

  5. I had the same bad lag as my toon was fighting in VG and AP.

So bad I couldn't do anything for what seemed like 3 or 4 minutes at a time.

This was after I left BBW for the same reason.

This was last night at around 1 am est.

I was lucky to get out alive also.

  6. I noticed this while playing my Terran Scout. Flying past the attacking mob using their beams against me

It felt like they were shooting backwards 1 or 2 shots.

After that they weren't able to shoot me as I ran circles around them while firing my missiles.

    As for the energy beams.

I would imagine that energy beams were the first developed beam weapons.

therefore all the races rushed to protect themselves from them, rendering energy beams useless.

thus the need to have new beams developed like plasma and emp.

As for bio mobs being resistant to anything, well thats just wrong. It should be like squatting a fly, only bigger,  no defense but its shield.

  7. Was there a Change made to Cloak again recently?

    Specifically Damage/Maneuverability/Dodge after cloak ?

It seems as of the last 2-3 patches I am taking damage Long after cloak I have been cloaked ?

So far it looks like I am getting hit with everything being shot at The Cloaked Jenquai, This

includes some Voltoi Shooting PLs While facing at a 90 degrees angle from me.

I'm not getting hit with damage after being cloaked for a minute or two, So "See Cloak" is

    not the question.

Today its the Mordana, yesterday it was the Voltoi.

I don't know if this change was intentional or not, It seems awfully strange.

I'm going to do a few more test on it, to see if I can improve my Damage/Maneuverability/Dodge after cloak.

I have noticed this also. Been taking serious damage after cloak from Tengu in Cooper and the lv48 Rogue Progen Commanders in Lagarto.

These lv48's in Lagarto can see me from 5k away and I have 0.0 signature. I have also killed myself once fighting one of them while he had what

I think was his Psi Shield? up.

I literally killed myself before I knew what was happening.

Its bad enough they throw everything but the kitchen sink at you the second they see you.

Its literally a barrage of weapons firing at you and it doesn't stop when you cloak.

  8. I'm still confused.  I found I can build a level 4 device at 200% (without doing the marathon build) but...at what point does that equate to higher levels at 200%? So if I can do some (or all?) devices at level 4 at 200% does that mean I need to do level 5s in massive quantities to get my build up? Or can I go back to the level 1 or 2 to do the massive build quantities.

It seems to me that ripping then building looted devices at a say level 8 or 9 should increase build skill faster than building the silly thousands of lower levels...??????????

It would seem that ripping and building lev 8 or 9 devices would work faster but it does not. You can go back to building lev1 devices again to build up your ability.

Faction also matters at the station you are building those higher level devices at, so turn in those space suits and gene maps at the appropriate places to build your faction.

  9. So the ONLY hope of getting build quality to 200% across the board, is to build thousands of a low level item?

Well they dont have to be low level items, but you will have to build about 6000 items to get to 200% lv 9 builds.

I like to pick an item I can build and upgrade to the next level to cut down on trips to the vendor or dismantler.

So I will have 4 stacks of components in my cargo, build max number of items to fill my hold leaving 1 space open

so I can upgrade those to the next level, rinse and repeat until all components are gone.

Its better to do this in the beginning of a characters life so you at least get some experience while doing it.

  10. Test Ship works great for most things like dps and reactor and shield recharge with buffs added.

Just make sure to check the little box on the device you're testing to see what the difference is.

If you want to see the range of your guns with devices factored in , you can see it when you click on a target in game

then hover over the weapon in the slot to see the actual range and how long til reload.

  11. I voted for more content without the storyline.

That doesn't mean I don't want the storyline, just something to make the game interesting.

What I've been thinking is what keeps other games going these days.

Its the fact that things happen while you are not online.

    For instance:

Farmville, your plants grow while not online and you come back to harvest. (no i don't play farmville, but it is widely popular)

Evony, your base can get attacked while you are away.

The same concept can be applied here but with making sales in the marketplace.

How about implementing a market system for players to sell stuff while they are not there. Like the ship that sells player made stuff. I want to be able to put stuff on the market and see if it sells, then I come back for more.

A market for players to sell looted only items to other players while not online would be cool too. Just allow us to only buy 1 or 2 items a day and see how it goes.

Anyway this is just a thought to add something to do while waiting for more storyline content.

  12. Shields do matter, but it is your luck that matters most.

I've had my shields taken out from anywhere between 0 and 100% and into hull.

This is with level 8 shield 51009 capacity.

Enviromental Shield seems to help but not sure.

I try to stay as far away as I can but sometimes I just go for it, and other times I didn't know it was going to pop

as is the case with hulks.

Sometimes the npc takes as much damage too from the explosion.

Other times they are just duds and do nothing. I hate those. I want a mob to pop out to play with lol.
