I have tried a few times to quote when replying to posts, but it doesn't happen...     Am I being sausage fingered, or is there some setting, maybe a pop-up that my browser is blocking ?    

I was told my idea was not practical - which is fair enough.     However - it seems a four year old dispute of "buy-back from the vendor" quickly high-jacked the thread.   With some discusting vitriolic abuse.     This is no way to treat people new to the forum.....

Well...     It looks like my new suggestion... has rubbed salt into the open wound of another hot topic - the buyback from vendor issue.   Some feel sooo strongly like Raazyr, who 26 minutes after making his/her first/only post here as a new account - donated money to EMU.     Perhaps the Dev's should respond...     or Mimir  will get ANGRY..!!!

Erm...     I shall rephrase.   If the vendor is open...   (This being the suggestions thread)   would it be possible to sell items from the vault ?   (the vault not being your cargo)   :P

Where is the Wiki - I can't see it on any Net7 menu       Found it through Google   - but the MOB section is very thin - and the items section does not tell you what mobs drop what items :(     I know... EMU is run by volunteers... and we are all grateful that you have been keeping it going  since EnB/Westwood got the chop from EA - but it is our human right to complain....     *free warps away

Would it be possible to sell items from the vault when you are have a vendor open ?

Back in the UK, been online in EnBE for about 10 hours - my hotel wifi has not dropped connection at gates... once.

Perhaps it would be an idea to gather some data on this issue - make some sort of poll or something, requesting the following:     - Your O/S - Memory size  - Your Service provider / type of connection - your Network Card (do you have IPv6/4 enabled/disabled) - Wifi yes/no - Firewall type - Anti Virus software - Frequency of connection failures - Location in game where disconnection occurs - Do you have issues using other types of software that rely on an internet connection   I have seen this phenomenon occur after disabling Firewall and Anti-virus...   However we might discover some trend like it only happens on Wednesdays if you are wearing bright pink socks, and have just eaten an Apfel STRUDDEL...!!!     YAY \o/

I love BREAKFAST...!!!   My favourite at this moment is cold pizza, with a topping of salami, bacon, peppers and mushrooms - served with fruit juice and chocolate to finish with.   I like cold Chinese food too, but bacteria loves day old rice - so it's a bit of a Russian-roulette...     Weirdest breakfast I ever has was beer and skittles - I would not recommend this.       What do you like to eat after waking up ?

Just to confirm - this is highly likely a Wifi or  IP issue: KPN (public wifi)   Reinstalled windows, updated network adapter etc.   - Disabled firewall - Removed Virus protection - Removed socks   I am still getting connection drops at gates   A couple of days and I will be back on another IP, still with Wifi - hopefully will see an improvement

The default chat channel settings for new players and new characters only monitor the "New Player" channel.   If you want new players to be more aware of these other channels, I suggest you change the start-up default channels monitored

I have monitored all the chat channels since Terrell kindly advised me - I have grave news to report, it would seem you have an epidemic of "out of context" topics being posted in the Channel "New Players"   ...zero traffic in the "Out of Context " channel,   ...and minimal traffic in the "General" channel.

Hi EnBE,     I am quite new to the server. I played for 6 months or so in 2003, and then spent on and off  about 6 years in total on Eve.   I eventually discovered I did not need a second job....       Last week I found EnBE :)   I have noticed an interesting phenomenon - as in most established communities, there is a small group of players that do not like outspoken new people, regardless of the new persons good intentions :   In the last 48 hours when the chat channel "New Players" (which seems to be used as the "general chat") got a bit quiet, I have as well as a few other community spirited people tried to make a funny comment to engage the community and act as a catalyst to bring some activity into the social aspect of the server.   In these two days, I have amongst other topics made about 6 references to "Air-Biscuits" - a silly UK term meaning "FARTS".   Yesterday an Admin asked I stop referring to "air-biscuits", a request to which I acquiesced. Then two other players took the chance to publicly admonish me. One of these two players a few days earlier had insulted me during a request for help resolving connection issues, and the same player also insulted me before that, after I had to change an apparently inappropriate character name.   I know these are the dynamics of online gaming.     Summery:   I am concerned that established players might be abusing the trust of the Admins in order to facilitate some sort of chat PVP, whereby admin become the weapon.

After disabling the IPv6 - I got dropped once in 4 hours of play   Is this consistent with provider side firewall ?
