is the server currently offline i was in game didn't gate and then nothing thought client crashed i started the game again and now tells me server offline ?

did the roids always explode and turn into mobs as well?  was mining the other day had about 5 change from roids to mobs and start attacking don't remember that from 2003-4 or is it just a Xmas thing ?
