  1. Moon Dwellers drop the Athanor Titanium Shell Casing now, which oddly has no titanium in it...

     

    Athanor Adamentine AMF2 has also no Adamentine in it as well... Probably like Apple, made in Foxconn china with "Made In USA" sticker on it.

  3. That's because JE don't heal LOL. The point of this thread is that the recent change in healing has made life miserable for healers.

     

    I very much doubt that...

     

    What recent change has done that you can not heal untargeted full area outside of the group where you can be safe and sound (in a way exploitation) if that has made life miserable, I don't know what kind of life expectation do those have... 

     

     

    And your post above, yes if healer used "Single target heal", it is easier for others to grab aggro than a massive group heal after full reset. Beside it is waste of precious reactor to spam heal to entire group including most that does not need to be healed unless AoE hit of mobs. 

     

    Did some additional tests before server crash, A mid-level Enrage grabs aggro almost instantly if it is not resisted after heal...

     

    May be Enrage initiation time might require some tuning to be faster. I can not quite be sure if Enrage also forces mob directly to face enrager regardless of aggro-meter like in live or grab the aggro by additional hate adding though, may need some clearance on this...

     

    My suggestion about enrage is:

     

    - Forcing mob / player to directly target Enrager for certain period of time (like 5-10 seconds max) THEN look for then one on top of aggro list, (that is how I remember from live and correct me please if I'm wrong)

     

    - A shorter initiation time will be nice

     

    - It will be nice if what description says actually work (can not really test like weapon accuracy of mob/player without a dev tool)

     

    PS to Healers: Don't ever heal your tanks if they are whiny kids to see their shield at 100% ALL-THE-TIME... 

  4. Interesting SiSL. Are you verifying my observation that healing causes agro reset? And is this the case on first heal of fight, or every heal? I have yet to play with enrage/befriend, since I'm still leveling up from player wipe in november. I would love to hear if the perceived benefit of those skills is actually positive. Most of us deemed them useless in old live and old things are hard to delearn. Before wipe I tried using enrage, but had problems landing the skill and stuff like grav link/hacking seemed to generate a lot more agro.

     

    Am I verifying reset? :)

     

    I'm sure of it because it is what happens, this is confirmed info from developers, this is how it works and how it is intended with shields of healer is good as tank setup, not classic DnD.

     

    This is for every heal. Even smalles Befriend works like charm after. Let's see my TT fighting against L55 RD's, without any damage of me, they are green to me, with heal they are blinking red, with befriend after they are green again (since I'm not only one mobs are fighting). Easy to test... And it is also adviced method to healers on every chance at Developer chats.

     

    Most deemed useless because people does not see their benefits in solo game play and claim(!) they are useless or not worth the skill points.

     

     

    PS: About landing skills, it is same as any other landing, CL of mob vs. CL of player always effects chance to land it, also Psionic resistance of mobs play its role on this.

     

    PS2: And people need to realise resist items are better to place on slots than increase warp speed items when they start combat. They are much cruicial than anything on defense  ;)

  5. Our classes in game are not "classic DnD" tank / healer / DPS / uiltiy setup. You can not place most classes in this algoritm.  

     

    Healers in classic DnD are almost most weak in shields, least DPS, here 2 of 3 instant healers have L9 shields and 4 weapons.

    Tanks in classic DnD does not have DPS while main Tank role here as PW has 6 weapons and almost best DPS

     

    That's why it is best that you do not think of it as classic DND and aggro listing.

     

    Healer mechanism works as follows:

     

    No matter how much aggro you built initially, entire aggro list "RESETS AT HEAL"

     

    What does that mean?

     

    It means there is no such thing as overaggroing of healer. 

     

    Here how it works:

     

    - Tank / DPS builds aggro (that works as whoever does bigger damage gets aggro) 

    - Healer heals, aggro build resets to zero, adds aggro to healer for "beneficial help" to previous aggro players

    - Now all other players has zero aggro , healer has initial healing aggro and next hit of mob is guaranteed to hit healer. But that's all... 

    - Tanks / DPS continues and easily grabs aggro back, meanwhile Healer takes a few hits for the team (see L9 shields of healers, can take a few hits)

    - Healers has tools, especially main healer (TT) has a skill called "Befriend" which almost instantly soothes mob against himself to prevent more aggro

     

    However we have something in common with other DnD's, some classes are designated to be roles...

     

    Main healer is Terran Tradesman, it has all the tools to be best healer role. Others are just warriors/explorers with some healing ability. You can not say PP & JT even TS are not healers but definitely not the MAIN healers. Like JE's are true explorers while other's are Warriors with prospect ability. 

     

    Same goes for Tanks, PW is the ultimate Tank, others have also Tanking tools but definitely not as good as PW, like HDC, Enrages etc. 

     

    Long story short, from what I've seen from community, tanks are not putting skill points to main tanking abilities like Enrage etc to be real tanks, I've never seen another TT also putting skill points to  Befriend... Most of us expect healer to be always safe, never take hits because of other damage while they have best level shield unlike other games...   People tend to use skill points mostly on skills that is good for solo... 

     

    Just do a small poll on TT's, how many have Befriend maxed, another poll on TW's and PW's, how many have Enrage maxed? You will get your answer...

     

     

    My advice if you play healer, "Right after heal, use Befriend" , you will be suprised and never EVER spam heal. Just when it is needed, you don't need to keep Tank always at 100% shield or 100% hull, they are built to take much more hits than that...

    Today fighting with 2x TW's against L55 mobs, 6x L9 zets, 4x Bolas (mind the turbo weapons buff) were firing constantly and often were not enough to break Rally skill usage. According Zackman that was available in chat at the time, "Each mob has different level of damage cap before interrupt" , either missiles are slow to hit on time or mob skill initiation is fast, it just isnt easy to interrupt. Even if you are lucky to land a random "device hack" during skill usage,  skill usage just "pauses" but does not get interrupted. 

     

    I just warp away when they use Rally, because no need to waste ammo for ten minutes of 193 (-2193) damage per tick :)

     

    For sure I miss Enrage helping on interrupts... 

  7. No concerns here just wanting to make sure that:

    Now or in the near future the Equip of a "Increased Psionic Resistance" Item will have a positive effect for

    the players to be able to resist an NPCs Menace as well as the Psionic Shield use to resist menace.
    It does and Zackman confirmed it does today.

     

    And one last thing that is somewhat self serving.

    I'm glad there will be no PvP :)

     

    Wrote in red about your concern. However, Level of mob vs. Level of player also effects this like any other skills / resists / misses... CL66 mob will have higher chance to stick psionic skills to you than CL50 even you have same resists.

  8. So the chance of breaking mob skill usage is still based on Ammo type like before? or has it changed with this patch.

     

     

    Was never based on ammo type, its damage  ;)

     

    Actually in a way both are related...

     

    Yes ammo type does not matter but total damage dealed during skill initiation time, however... 

     

    Damage over time (will be refered as DoT) types are harder to break skills (such as plasma, chemical etc.) because they may not do enough damage stacked if skill using of mob is fast unlike a direct damage type (Energy / Explosive / Impact / EMP)

  9. - So basically all menace of mobs are above L5 menace (forgetting to use skills and weapons, that's a bit harsh, remembering menace in live was just making you flee till timer is over)

    - Oh boy, SD changes will make a lot of free-wormhole PW's angry...

    Also may add, "You don't need galactic terminals for mail, you can simply log into character selection screen and even do it in space"...

     

    Most of the time getting to character selection screen is easier and actually faster than finding a terminal. Basically like vault transfer, your character being offline  is enough for this. 

  11. As Matt wrote, main page can be utilized more useful for people who are "logged in"

     

    by main page I'm telling about that screen:

    Like if player logged in and have items to claim, it can be in that middle large area... saying

     

    <toon name> has <x> item to claim sent from <other toon> free (or <z> price) 

     

    Or 

     

    <toon name> has <y> mail from <not-your-character>

     

     

    Etc..

     

    Basically mails and items sent from characters other than your own toons...

     

    Other than effect search on DB to be same as normal search with all filters, just effect picks etc.

     

  12. I wonder if it is possible on DB, Effect search to have same filters like "Usable by..." , or "Equipment Type" 

     

    Basically Effect Search to be same as Item Search just instead of name field, pull down from effects?

  13. My wife just started a new account she can create her toon but as soon as she goes to choose name and play game . The game freezes and will not allow. we have tried this on 3 different computers and all the same. I have put skip tutorial also yet nothing happens. Can anyone help on this issue.

     

     

    Client uses TCP protocol while login and character selection, after that aka Post-Login screen is basically all on UDP packages...

     

    Your wife's computer basically can not receive or send UDP packages, thus client crashes. 

     

    This may happen on following:

     

    Your router setup is basically forwarding UDP packages to another computer (may be this is your computer) or blocking your wife's computer...

     

    1. Check your router's "Port forwarding" options. If there are any rules that you did not placed, delete them... This setting is sometimes called "Applications & Gaming" etc. on some routers/modems

     

    2. Also if you setup your router as "DMZ" , disable it. DMZ forwards all ports to computer designated.

     

     

    PS: Did you try your own account on your wife's computer? Your account also most likely will not login with her computer as well...

  14. Possible DANGER in Email items from portal:

     

    I would recommend greatly Email'ing item to your toons should not send "real email" reminding of item... This can cause Net-7.org mail server as "SPAM" on most mail servers... For instance I send like 20 items at once sometimes, 20 emails in a few minutes is excessive to most mail servers.

     

    I'm not telling it should not send email but it really should not send "real email" IF items you send is one of your own toons...

  15. TS Base Signature is 2.5K

     

    Trifid Base Signature: 0.8K

     

    Total 3.2K, 60% less radar footprint should be 1,28 ~ 1.3K 

     

    There is something wrong with your calculation or there are other items effecting it.

     

    Currently my TS using L9 Trifid with 65% reduction 

     

    2.5K + 0.9K (L9) = 3.4K * 35% = 1,19 ~ 1.2K (and 1.2K is correct)

     

    There is no way your signature as a TS drop to 0.5 with just Trifid. 

  16. I think it may have been misunderstood here... 

     

    Terran Tradesman have this skill. It's not a new skill been there forever. Not looking a name or change for it :) It's name is confusing with "heal" one, so I used "bubble" to distinct it :)

    It is just that lack of equipments that improves this skill... And as a suggestion on new items or existing items, skill improvement buff would be nice for it, like many other skills to be capped at L10. Ofcourse item buff name may have been named completely different that I missed in that case, please let me know.
