I'm sure everyone knows that the popup box when attempting to start says 5 minutes... but I also think we know it's always longer than that. Good question about the restart time; I was wondering that myself last night when deciding whether to wait or go to bed. Thanks as always, Kyp and Co.

Hmmm... 2nd time today I've heard "wonky" used to describe connecting. I installed Foursquare on my phone even after all the reviews described their latest release as having problems with wonky connections. It got uninstalled. Anyway, I was a part of a 4 day beta to live release a while back.. no sleep at all, so I understand what all the DEVs are doing, and I'm supremely impressed with their dedication. At least I was getting paid really good money. These guys are in it for love. We'll all be patient and trust that the DEVs are (as always) doing the best they possibly can. I sure hope I don't see any further juvenile whining. It's not like you're shelling out big bucks! Looking forward to Live... Great job all around to everyone involved. We all owe the Emulator staff a huge standing-O.

Righter, after you changed your launcher to client.exe, did you try an update again? In Explorer, you should be able to right-click on the AuthLogin.dll file and check its properties (Detail tab) to see what version it is. Should be like what your popup box says. You might also try installing the Launcher and the game into the default directories if you have space. Just some ideas. If worse comes to worse, maybe I can attach my copy of AuthLogin.dll and see if that works for you.

I don't have access to the emulator right now, to tell you exactly where, but it's out in that sector somewhere... maybe try one of the "Field" nav points, like "Cent's Field" or "Nort's Field". I got this from 61cygni.site88.net, which you click on Game Info at the top and then Go To Ores. The ore listing is currently a work in progress, but everything else is fairly current, and that site is just one of a few that you can use to get a wealth of sinformation. You can click on the "Links" tab at the top of the 61cygni site to get a current list of other relevant sites. Hope this helps!

I'll be the first to admit that I'm as guilty as anyone else. I was kind of wondering about that myself, but since it was my 3rd day, I just kind of followed the example. Lame excuse, I know. I'll keep this in mind. Thanks for the gentle and appropriate thought/reminder.

I'm running now... at first it hung after the avatar and ship config (twice) and I restarted, but I remembered that I had modded one of the config files (changed an IP). I was wondering why I wasn't hearing anything during the process. Then it never would start the game. Anywho, I'm now at level 1 combat. woo hoo!
