  1. Have the JEs fire power been altered in anyway in one of the latest pushes? If so why? If not why would some be having issues? Should this be reported as a bug? Is this another change that was not communicated and could be reported as a bug and waste alot of not only your time but ours as players.

  2. I had the same issue with AT&T, many if not all of the AT&T mail servers are on black listed lists. Something about mail relay or some such. I don't think it is true, but hackers be hackers and AT&T is a big target.

Go Here to check if your mail server is one of the blacklisted servers.

    http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx?AG=GBL&gclid=CJud7LXx5aECFWI65wodJ0XQIw

When I was with AT&T it was almost an every 6 month thing to request we be removed from the lists.

    Good Luck.

  3. Your killing the wrong fish.

Maws dont drop eyes, flesh or archos.

Only bile ammo comps, and chemelon skin devices.

i ment leopard spots not chemlon colored skin...

You are correct, thank you... but I swear the other day nothing was dropping from them except vendor items. All is as it should be??

  4. I would like to respectfully request that the ammo comps be put back on the Ten-Gu in cooper. I have gone into the FB and it seems that these ammo comps are rarer now than the weapons that use them. You don’t have to bring them back to the levels that they were dropping, but soon the lack of non pm comps will make my level 9 weapons good for nothing more than place holders in my vault.

Thank you in advance for your consideration on this,

    Mimir

  5. If we have a need to communicate a change like that, we do, otherwise it's a patch note. The only time we NEED to communicate such a thing is if we're afraid the change will cause technical problems, otherwise similar to what Tienbau said, things are a work in progress and it'll take time before you see what the final state will be. There's no reason to get worked up over it

As far as this "like live" business goes: The original goal of this project was to have a working server. We're trying to keep it like live where we can sure, but there are some cases where the mechanics of live were broken for whatever reason. In those cases, if we identify them, they will be fixed or replaced with something that does work and makes the game more interesting and fun. We cannot make a carbon copy of live, it can't be done, as there wasn't much documentation available we've had to do a lot of improvisation. We cannot trust "I remember x and y being like z!" as a means of implementing a system. For those of you that want a carbon copy of live, your only hope is to beg EA to restart the servers they have or give us every bit of documentation they had on it. We have done almost everything you see now based on documents and data captures that we had, many others (i.e. most of the missions) were created from scratch because there was no existing documentation.

In regards to the rationale for the changes, is there a specific change you're referring to or is this a gripe? (I notice you didn't point at anything specific). If you want to know, ask, and we'll try to enlighten where it doesn't endanger the story or surprises we have planned for you.

That's all I'm gonna say on this particular subject. :)

lol was not trying to piss anyone off. And communicate changes or don't, no big deal to me. If these changes are as planned then that's ok too. I won't report any weird changes (differences from a few days ago) if they are as intended. I ask in game and seems that everyone is in the dark as I. On the live comment it looks to me that it is used as a matter of convenience answer. If someone says “X” then the response is well it was “X” in live. Or at other times someone says this is not as it was in live, and the answer is “Z” is better. I do understand this is a work in progress… but there was something mentioned a bit ago about better communication.

    -Edit --

Oops I already posted a weird thing in the bug forum. sorry

  6. I just wonder if we could hear the rationale for the changes?

Was it like this in live? Are we (they) still shooting for like “live” or is this going to be how it in mow in the emu?

I also noticed even with the weird mob behavior that loot tables have been changed quite a bit as well.

There have been lots of changes lately but no post on what or why … that I can find.

  7. I was running fine this morning, but now same thing is happening. I get to the password, and as soon as the hand shows up, poof, back to the desk top. Is there any way to turn on error logging? Someone said this morning there was some server/router issues between the US and EU. I'm not sure if this is my issue?

  8. If you have one already, I'd say go for it and give it a try. I am pretty sure it would work, and seem to remember some posts that others have done it already. Look around and see if you can find the posts.

Good Luck, and let us know :)

  9. thank you TB

(sighs of relief,no wife aggro on the horizon)

    /agree

But one request... When it is time, PLEASE just do it, no warning, no "Server wipe in x days" Just a surprise "Hey Happy mumble mumble day...You are all back to level 0" For me knowing the exact time of my character's demise alters my game play style. I seem to start wife agro projects, mow the lawn before the knee high rule, agree to *shudder* SHOP!, anything but play. Maybe one of those survey posts that only 10% answer asking how would you like to find out posts?

  10. Reclaimer Nayol Watt has the "Payment" options. But be warned, take these in the knowledge that all you ever will receive is a hull upgrade. He has 3 options where the payment is divided down, so for Progen who have only found 2 options they still can do 1 payment option to complete the set.

It is possible. It has been tested by Skeletor to destruction.

    Note:

The initial dialogue from the Tiberius Shipyard will inform you how to unlock the Combat Option. This is not available in the start and this option is needed for the "Capture the Cargo" bonus quest tree.

This is what confuses me. There are multiple choices that can affect the outcome of your characters build/future weapons or bonus. If one chooses incorrectly (not catastrophic) but only gets the hull upgrade. I think there should be some sort of warning that this will or may occur. (In game...it is not enough for it to be only here) Having choices is good but knowing how those choices will progress the character is important. It is down to not only reading the message text and interpreting the message correctly, but a game of chance, if one selects the correct path.

If the missions need to be cryptic to be interesting (I don’t agree) then at the very least give enough information that the user will be able to make the correct decision based on his or her character design.

If the missions are going to be based on chance I suggest you not go to all the trouble of writing detailed missions and just open up the casino, and allow the user to spin a wheel for the prize. At least then they could see what is possible to win.

  11. We had an idea yesterday, don’t know if it has been suggested yet or not but here goes.

    Problem:

The Combat jobs seem to be generating a bit of anguish for lower players. Un-hunted mobs are going rouge and killing new players.

    Cause:

Player with job gets ctd, or can’t get to the location of the mission mob.

    Possible solution:

When each combat mission is distributed the following is placed into an accessible location:

Mob, Location, Owner, Bounty (over and above original reward)

If the player who started the mission for whatever reason looses track of this mob the owner’s name of that mob gets deleted and it becomes a bounty kill.

The original owner is no longer able to collect the enhanced bounty reward, but to be fair should be able to reclaim the original reward if any.

The easiest I think would be to use the F1 to direct to a web page set to read the db on issued CL missions.

The bounty hunter would select the mob they are interested in hunting from this list, select submit and it would be marked accordingly and his/her information transferred to the server.

I am sure that there may be other ways of taking care of this but it sounded good to us.

If not flamed to death I will add all the “others” that were discussing this in game.

  12. @Jeroica and @Basileus:

Conquest Concept #2 (outlined in greater detail than the other two options, and with the sample map) kind of bridges PvP and PvE together. There wouldn't be direct PvP i.e. no worries about getting mowed down by a pack of PWs camping the gate - but rather, competitive PvE, or to hopefully coin a newer term, "Player versus Player via Environment" or PvPvE.

Players would compete against one another by how many conquest points they tally for a given week, and thus gain access to the station protected by that terrifyingly beweaponed battlefleet.

The station could even sell unusually race-specific and/or rare items currently available only on the dev server (Sulani Highport, etc). as incentive to "control the zone".

I like this idea except guild A (100+ members) gets control, outfits all the members with xyz equipment and does:

a.) move on (now what syndrome)

b.) give/sell said equipment to select few not in guild (have and have not)

c.) use said equipment to monopolize on non PvP (or whatever) zones (could be very bad for non PvP players)

I like the capture the flag idea but needs something more...no clue what.

  13. In Market chat today two individuals attacked a third, this was for the eventual reason that the third was holding a conversation out of content in the market channel. (This may or may not be the real reason).

It started with the Market channel being spammed by “Who are you” over and over and over. I thought it may have been a joke but it turned ugly pretty fast.

A GM stepped in and finally told the third individual (the one under attack) to take it out of the market channel but no public warning to Chip n Dale. ???

I am pretty sure the third individual has a good case against these two for harassment, the two instigators did not swear but they were harassing the third, and then anyone who stepped in to defend the third.

I have the logs and character names and would be willing to forward these to any interested party in a management position.

  14. Devs

What is the status on the stuck graphics from skills like shield sap and shield recharging? How about the fact that a TT can not always see the correct hull lvl so they can know when to patch? Any update? It makes the game almost un-playable after about 15min or so of combat. I am basicly blind at that point. I seem to see a lot of work on missions and faction but have seen nothing on the stuck graphics or losing the buffs like combat trance when gating. IMHO things like the stuck graphics make the game much less playable then faction issues or lack of new missions or jobs.

    /agree

Gives me a headache and logging to char selection after every mob is getting old. I almost look forward to doing trade runs and the repeat explore mission.
