Blackie69
I have a little problem with the game after the wipe. For some reason i cant get the server to respond, I only get the message "Server failed to respond to Login attempt". Yes I have registered again on both the forum and the emulator, I have updated everything, even reinstalled. I have also tried to use the links listed in the FAQ and still nothing. I even tried to change the login server to Play2.net-7.org, wich was what a friend told me i had to do. Have i missed something or is it something else??? Can you also run netstat -ao from a command prompt and look for anything on (port) :443 Thanks Windows firewall is turned off and when i run netstat -ao it doesnt show any 443 as far as i can see, only 448 and 432, if the port is PID. But i do have :443 at the end of an IP address, on local addresses, both TCP and UDP. The funny thing is that it worked fine before the server change. Slayerman
Ok, that is something that is using port 443 the one at the end of an IP. If you open up taskmgr and look for that PID (from the PID column with the <ip address>:443 at the end you will see which program is using that port. That is the most probable cause of your issues. I ended up with nothing in the taskmgr. Maybe the error log can give some clues so I paste it. LaunchNet7 - Exception, Version: 1.3.1.0, Time: Thu, 04 Dec 2008 01:58:36 GMT System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The system cannot find the file specified at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at LaunchNet7.Launcher.LaunchNet7Proxy() in C:\Net7\Net7 Source\trunk\LaunchNet7\LaunchNet7\Launcher.cs:line 124 Now nothing is using :443 and i still cant start the game.
