Launcher Problem

Recommended Posts

Ok so i open up the Launcher and update it.After the first update goes through the launcher closes and it needs me to start it up again. When i do so i get the following error

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit the application will close immediately."

Now if i press Continue the launcher starts but i'm not able to do anything but press "Cancel",everything else is grayed out and the launcher won't patch any further.

I have to metion that i have the latest .NET framework installed.

Thanks in advance!

Uninstall it and re-run the install as admin, it was unable to patch some protected files from the sound of it.

I did but nothing changed and i think the error comes from the .Net framework for its marked as such.

Ok, does this happen as soon as you run the LaunchNet7.exe?

If so, install .NET 2.0 and the most current version supported for your OS (available from microsoft)

Get 2.0, 4.0 at minimum. You should only need the redistributable packages, as these contain only the necessary files to run them. the SDKs are considerably larger files.

also you'll need the Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable package.

actually I just re-read.. you're probably only missing the VC2k8 redist.

In any case, make sure you have those installed, some of them are part of the OS by default. You can see the chart at:
