Whitelighter Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Posting this here, I hope it is the right forum. I recently downloaded VMWare Player3.0, and upgraded from Vista to Windows7 (anything has to be better than Vista imo). I got everything set-up without a problem, my original system works perfectly, and my VM system does everything it should...except play EnB. On my VM system I can browse the web, use other applications fine. I can even launch EnB but here is what it does: Launch Net7 (fresh install this morning of both Net7 and the EnB client via links on these boards) Net7 updated through the various versions without a problem I can hit play and it will connect, then launch EnB At this point I can watch the intro movie fine, but skipping it or sitting through it doesnt matter, when the log-in screen attempts to come up I get CTD No error or lost connection messages in the command window, so I have no idea whats up. I can play just fine on my regular computer. Anyone have any idea whats causing this? A few things I've tried: Running in Admin Checking the Net7 launch has the right path to the client Logging in one account then the other, and one at a time. Quote
Whitelighter Posted January 12, 2010 Author Report Posted January 12, 2010 Just tried completely removing Net7 and reinstalling it, on the very last update I got an error message so here it is: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: InvalidArgument=Value of '5' is not valid for 'index'. Slayerman Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Moved to tech support. I beleive there is already discussions on this. This error i think is to do with .NET framework missing. Quote
Phaethon Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 It is not missing Framework since the exceptions list Framework libraries as originators. I get this from time to time after updates due to missing entries in server address drop down list, for whatever reason... Once the exception hits, server address box is empty. Just hit ignore and select "NET 7 Multiplayer" and it should work. Quote
