t-bot
Wouldnt it work better if the character who is mining the ores would also have the skill to build the component? As it is now a lot of the builders have JEs to get the mining done, but IMHO if the JE could also build components it would be easier for them to take part on the market as they would not have to sell the ores but the needed component itself. BrixunMortar
in which case would it not work better if the miner can make the components AND everything else and then u wouldn't need the market at all /sarcasm off lol the idea was to create a loop in which many ppl were needed in order to build the high end equipment! it would be far to easy to get everything made if ppl could build it all on one character

So for everything else but reaktors they need a other char. The idea is that the Explorer, who mines the ore, could finish the component and than sell it on the market to the builder who needs the component. Letting the explorers, whether it's a Jenquai, Progen, or Terran Explorer, build components would be unfair to the Traders, and would essentially put them out of the Component building business. Ryjel
this game was built with the idea of people working together, yes, it WOULD be easier if the explorer classes were able to build components, but the original developers in their wisdom (and that's not being sarcastic) decided that trader classes, and ONLY trader classes, would build components. T-bot, just think of all the trade xp you can potentially get for trading all your ores and refined ores to a trader! Also, while I've got trade xp on the brain... trade your raw ores to a player you trust (or second account), trade them back, refine, and trade again for more xp. You get more xp for trading to a player than to a vendor.
