Crashes back to desktop

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I've played this in the spring, but there were a lot of bugs, I've been following the updates and decided to install again - clean. Followed all the steps and did the full update. At one point in time the updater gave me an error something to the effect of "can't patch registry" as well as something to do with .net framework (yes I know screenshots would've been nice), I didn't pay attention to those and continued the install. Once the install was complete (looked like it was successful) I launched the game through the LaunchNet7, it connected, clicked 'I Agree' and the game starts, BUT right after the initial intro video finishes the game crashes to desktop without any errors whatsoever. I've tried everything short of another clean install (don't want to spend another hour) - any fixes for this or should I doing another clean install. Even if I do, what's to assure me that same thing won't happen? I run WinXP Pro SP3. I might try it on my Win7 64bit and see what happens...

HELP?

The inability to patch the registry might really hinder you. Are you running LaunchNet7 with administrator permissions? In XP, I'm pretty sure this is the standard mode, unless you're working on a limited "Standard" windows user account.

So I did a clean install and still get the .NET Framework error, I get this error after the first update is done, I think it's called 307? Here's what the error says:

See the end of this message for details on invoking

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.
