JerrodSyn
I know it's not a problem with the Launcher because the Windows XP machine I have EnB Emu installed on has yet to have any issues. But under Windows Vista this is a constant issue. About once a week, I begin getting the dread (Not Responding) from the launcher. If I am very patient, it will eventually work it's weak little brain around it and complete the scan for updates. The only solution I have found has been to remove the NET7 directory and the LaunchNet7 folder from AppData and reinstall the launcher. Every launch, I have to reset the updates. The launcher has nothing updated, but the client has several files that need to update. The critical one, I think, is the network.ini file. If I don't do this before launch, I get to the login screen okay, but when I type the password and hit enter, the "hand" never lights up and I go back to the desktop looking at the DOS window that initiates the proxy. Just posting what I do to keep this running under Vista for others that may encounter the same trouble. I'm too lazy to install XP on my main machine, and too cheap at the moment to upgrade to Windows

bondct
in thew net7 folder which should be in your root directory there is a file called Net7-Version.txt check what version it shows before you login and then after you finally get in game check it again when you logout... I would be curious to see what that says... Edited September 23, 2010 by Avani
kriggs111
Did you try enabling Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode for the client.exe file? that fixed my problem.
Zyrith Skye
I run Win7 64bit and don't have nearly as much issues that people are having. /knocks on particle board Things I did: Install E&B to default location as usual. Install Net-7 Proxy to a system-unprotected area. ie C:\Net-7 not in C:\Program Files\Net-7 Right clicked the Net-7 executable and set compatibility to run as administrator. Run Net-7 proxy and click yes on prompt. Update runs as usual once e&b.exe is located. Locate e&b config executable and set compatibility mode to run as administrator. Run to set graphics settings. Start game via Net-7 launcher after verifying Packet Opt is enabled. Everything is still running fine in Win7 mode. (I run MS Security Essentials for AV fyi)
