Try two things:

Compatibility Mode

  1. Go to your Earth & Beyond folder. (Default: C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Earth & Beyond)
  2. Open the "release" folder.
  3. Right-click on "client.exe" and open its Properties.
  4. Under the "Compatibility" tab, set the Compatibility Mode to "Windows XP (SP2)".
  5. Click "Apply" and "OK".

E&BConfig

  1. Go back to your Earth & Beyond folder.
  2. Open the "EBCONFIG" folder.
  3. Run E&BConfig.exe.
  4. Change the resolution setting to anything larger than 800x600.
  5. Run the Performance Test (by clicking "Performance Test"), then click "OK".
