No Sound!

I don't know what the problem is exactly but when I ran the config it wouldn't play any sound in the sound tests, and that's still the case when I launch the game itself, too. The intro cutscene has the normal sound but as soon as I get to the menu it all cuts out. What do I do to fix this? 😧 I'm on windows 10 if it matters ;~;

Hi Kittenykat,

 

I do see you registered way back in 2012, but having checked the game database I see you managed to login to the game on 31th August 2023 and are ingame now.

 

Please check your in-game sound from the Options tab at the top of your screen and make sure you have the sound setting set correctly to play Music/Sound Effects/Dialouge If you still have no sound then there is a high posibility the sound files you have installed may be corrupted but unlikley if the Movie cut scene plays.

 

Please up date if this is the case and I'll advise further.

One bit of weirdness that comes up when I run the Net-7 installer, as I mentioned ingame.

Thats the one I said its expecting another version of windows is all, no need to worry at all.

Alright, well I did a fresh install, cleaned all the old files out, was careful to do everything in compatibility mode for win98 and run it all as an admin.. same result though. Sound everywhere but the login screen with Megan. 😕

Compatability mode should be Win XP Sp2/3 not Win98 but it does also work if set to Win8 as well. Did you use the same Download install files as before or a freash set?

I guess I'm just going to have to deal with it, so long as the rest of the game is working. Bleh, weird as hecc though.

Well to be honest its not a game stopper as you spend little time on login screen.
