How to Manually Change Resolution by Using "RegEdit", Windows Registry Editor by changing manually the individual "key" value.

Recommended Posts

For Windows 11, and maybe earlier versions, you first must launch the RegEdit, "Windows Registry Editor" to begin the process of manually changing the resolution setting for Earth & Beyond. Please Note, that the Windows registry editor is a powerful tool which should not be messed around with for any settings in here unless you know what you are doing. You can really screw stuff up, if you don't do this right and be careful what you change and keep track of what you change. Never "will nilly" go into the registry editor, and mess something up by accident.

Ok, then the path for the changes to be made are in this directory. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/WOW6432NODE/Westwood Studios/Earth and Beyond/Render. The "Render Device Width" and the "Render Device Height" are the values to be set for the Resolution of your monitor. Please, always switch do decimal before making any value changes to what you want this to be. If you accidentally do not do this, and you put a number in the box as a Hexidecimal, instead of using the actual decimal number, then it won't be right. I set mine to 1680 (Width) X 1050 (Height), for my 55 inch screen. It seems to be pretty decent, even though I have a Bar on the right hand side that shows my backscreen windows desktop. I just use this area to put things I want to watch while playing the game. I hope this all helps a bit on the resolution Saga questions on the forums. Greetings from Falkor!
