    Actually this mission has been fixed in the last content patch, but it requires good RD faction. I am not sure of the exact number, but my JD who is ~+500 cannot do it but my Mordana killing PW who is +3k can.

    Try it again with good faction and you may be good to go.
  2. Regardless of content NP is becoming more of an OOC channel and I agree it is stepping on the ability for new players to actually get help. It would be nice if people left the channel for its intended purpose. I have to turn of the channel more often that not just because of all the garbage going across it.
  3. Group mostly works but has some buggs still.

    Group Cloak cloaks all part members but:
    Group members cannot fire when cloaked, they get the "cannot fire weapons when cloaked" error message.
    Once cloaked a group memember can fly as far as they like away from the cloaking group memeber and remain cloaked.

    First let me say that I have enjoyed my two terms asadvocate. I enjoyed talking with everyone, helping where I can, and providingthe conduit between the users and the devs. It has been a great opportunity fora non-programmer to contribute to the emulator and I hope things are better foryou now that they were 6 months ago.

    This will be my last post as Player Advocate and a way tolay out any items that I am seeing from the user community as current openissues. It is not an exhaustive list – we do all realize that we are stillpre-alpha and so there are numerous minor items (missing devices, non-workingdevices, text typos, etc.) which remainopen. This is what I am seeing directly from fellow users as items that causethem grief and/or they are looking to see fixed quickly.

  5. The larger guilds tend to be better in helping new players - more because there are more people on at a given time and they tend to usually have experienced players around. Send me a /t next time you are in game and I will gladly invite you to our guild or give you some pointers on people to contact for the other large guilds.

    A good idea but it hinges around the unique print data which is not in the data set currently provided by Slayer based on a script cdel wrote. The most challenging part would probably not be identifying unique prints across accounts but rather identifying and grouping player accounts. While some (i.e. Lott, Redd, and myself) may be fairly easy many others do not have an obvious linking to player names.

    Probably need a comment from Slayer or CDEL on if this is doable and worth the effort - especially since we want them all to spend energy in game not necessarily on things like this. ;)

  9. The goal of the ST is to get ready for Alpha. I struggle to see how removing the SS8 or the many other error items progresses us towards that goal. Especially give that this will be the 4th time in my memory that items have been mistakenly added to drop tables and then removed. Given that it is likely to happen again shouldn't the policy be to correct the drop error to get the loot tables ready for Alpha/Live? Clean up of the incidentals (which build lists certainly qualify as) comes with the eventual wipe to progress us to the next stage of testing - however far off that may be.

    If we remove it now, we will just need to continue the policy which doesn't progress the emulator project and frustrates the player base.

    If this was the first and an isolated occurrence then it may be different - but this would be number 4 just in ST4. As the DEVs continue to tune the drop tables there will be more.

    The "playing favorites" item is a red herring. People will believe what they want to believe. If I had a dollar for every time I was accused of using, asked to use, or assumed to have used "DEV or GM" abilities as the Advocate I could fund the Emu for the next year.

    We had HulkFest 2010, now we have had MobFest 2011. Move on, fix the core issue of the drop tables and get us ready for live.

  10. Removing items from build lists really must stop - it messes up my beautiful spreadsheet. ;)

    In fairness, and acknowledging a bit of a bias, the removal of items from build lists causes to much frustration. We have done it to many times now - in fact the SS8 has been removed from my build list before. And the Sunfire 2k twice already, and... well, needless to say we have been down this road already. And each time it generates more frustration and antagonizes a player base that is already a bit board.

    Fix the drops - even remove the Warp Fibers so that the SS8 cannot be built - but removing from build lists and from players who already went through the process to get the parts and have one made causes far to much frustration for it to net in.

    As Cheeze rightly pointed out there are far to many other things to be spending time on.

    If we go down the trail with the SS8 then there are literally dozens other things that fit into the same category . Anyone need a Dark Matter PL while we are at it?

    There is something wrong with the notifier. The server is currently offline (shows offline in the launcher and the main net-7 page) but the Notifier shows it as online. I have noticed similar behavior in the other direction as well with the Notifier showing it offline when it is actually up and running.

    I think this behavior was also pointed out in the Server Status thread.

  13. You get the print for the shield and Beam through stage I of the Agrippa missions. Once you get the print you can build or dismantle. The ahold and beam are nothing more than vessels to pas the override around in.

    A PS can make the override and the shield.
    A PP can make the shield and beam.
    A PW can make only the beam.

    If you jumped strait to stage II via an invite, symbol, or one time buy-in then you will lack some or all of these prints.
