  1. On the net-7 portal, go to Account tab

    Click on add game account.

Create a new game account, remember the details to log in the game.

Log in and your chars should be there waiting for you to finish creating them.

You can have up to 9 game accounts with 1 email address.

Each time you make a new Game Account your chars

will be there unfinished til you give them a name and log them in.

  2. In addition to what Arthur posted above,

If you get stuck talking with an npc use the command  /endtalk

If you get stuck at the job terminal use  /unstuck

And instead of using ctrl/alt/del , try to right click the little icon in the notification area of the taskbar and click 'end client'

I know these don't help solve your problem but should save you some time.

  3. To run in compatability mode, find the file in windows explorer,

right click it and click on properties.

Then click on the compatability tab.

Check the box 'Run in Compatability mode'

Then in the dropdown, choose 'Windows Xp (Service Pack 3)

    Do this for :

e&b.exe  Located in Program Files/ea games/ earth and beyond folder

e&bconfig.exe Located in Program Files/ea games/ earth and beyond/ebconfig folder

net7proxy.exe Located in Program Files/Net-7/Bin/ folder

  4. I myself had a run in a while back with a content developer... who IMHO mistook changing mob quantity and changing mob behavior to that of actually adding content. I tried to fight the good fight but was shot down early in the discussion and just left the game.

Yea I remember this issue with the multiples of Bio- Extractors in Lagarto.

Turns out it was just a server bug and after the next restart it was back to normal.

  5. The pop rocks are bugged. It has been reported in the bug reporter.

You can see them try to spawn but if you blink you miss it.

I've popped many pop rocks since last patch, probably over 100 and only once

did a mob spawn and that one was from a clear a resource field mission.

    So it's not just you.

  6. On a related (if not entirely pertinent) note:

I've long had to run a lowly but easily-obtained Level 8, Player-made Claw of the Dragon alongside my arrays of L9 PL's that my Holy-Progens bristle with, as the most expedient and effective way of gaining the 40% turbo buff.

And oh how I've longed for the day when I could drop a proper, Level 9 projectile weapon with 40% turbo in place of the Claw; if for no more practical a reason than being able to reduce the vast numbers of Claw ammo stacks that are voraciously consumed.

Finally, last night, I managed to grab a 100% Fury of the Ten-Gu at the Tada-O Gate, and I couldn't wait to get my PW B2B to whip out the Claw and replace it with the Fury.

This I duly did, and knocked up some PM'd ammo to load into the gun.

So I went from 1 x Ballista, 1 x Archos, 3 x Bile Cannons and... 1 x Claw of the Dragon; to... The same, but with my 100% Fury (and PM'd ammo) in place of the Claw.

Imagine my surprise then, when I checked the updated stats for the ship on the portal and discovered that the overall DPS of 10,546 I'd had with the Claw in place, had now dropped to 10,457, with the L9 Fury as a replacement.

No other changes were made to the ship. Just switched the Claw out and the Fury in.

Now the drop is negligible... Doubt very much I'll even notice the drop in the Heat of Things... But whilst I wasn't expecting any significant increase to my DPS (I realised the Fury @ 100% wasn't going to be a Great Leap Forward from the PM Claw @ 200%)... I *WAS* expecting *SOME* kind of increase, simply because of the Level-Nineyness of the Fury. Certainly had not imagined I'd be looking at a decrease.

Is this a well-known phenomena that I just wasn't aware of, which has been discussed ad nauseum? Is there some fundamental dynamic principle regarding DPS calculation that I'm overlooking?

Or is it just the case that it is more advantageous to mount a very easily-obtained, Player-made (with no exotic components) Level 8 PL, than it is to go forth wearing a somewhat-difficult-to-get-hold-of Level 9?

Not greeting or whining about the State of Play from my own perspective: happy to see the Fury as just a Badge of Honour for what I had to go through to get it.... But did think that this observed dynamic ought to be recorded in this thread.

...Which is what I have just done.

    :)

Well I believe it to be common knowledge that a level 8 weapon at 200% is about the same or better than a level 9 at 100%.

The only benefits for a 100% lev9 weapon is the increased stack sizes.

This game is all about the choices you make. There is no set rules on the weapons you must use.

You make your choices based on your own experiences with said weapons or devices or anything you equip on your ship.

The changes will be subtle at times but there will be a difference.

That Fury of the Tengu was left there because noone else wanted it. That should tell you something right there.

I too got my first Fury just as you describe, left abandoned for someone who had nothing better.

Once I got that taste for it I attended more Gate raids and fishbowls til I got my fair share of the "uber" weapons.

    It all comes in time.
