that isn't implimented yet last i checked, i've taken quality damage on several items at level 2-3.
its implemented.. my jes lvl4 stuff only has 98% quality left after beeing killed a lot recently

Don't expect the server to be up until late evening (USA east coast time, mid-day-ish UK/Euro time) as many of the devs and such arebasedin Europe.
And it's Valentine's Day besides: gaming the day away would probably not score too many points with the wife
mid-day europe would be early morning us-time, not late evening.

p.s.: i think this server downtime was not planned, so there wouldnt be any way to anounce it, but certainly some status info would be great.

FYI, the devs know of the situation and are working on it. it's not always a simple *devs forgot to turn server back on*
i am aware of that, but then again, that info is nowhere to be found. i guess you just assumed that they are aware and working on it?
sometimes i just wish the announcement-board would actually be used to do announcements like "hey guys we killed the server, but the server-devs are on it an working on getting it back up", or "hey guys the server died and the guy in charge is nowhere to be found, so it will be a while before it back up".
i think something like this should be possible.
or am i asking for too much?

you would think that more than one person would have rights to log into the server and restart it.

i think cdel was testing some stuff before the server went down. if so he should be able to bring it back up.
its not good to test potentially serverbreaking stuff if noone is around to start it back up

i dont think the server is in germany latance is to bad look more like u.s.
normal i will get a latance if the server in
- germany 7-15max
- outsite germany but in eu 12-20max
- us 70-200
- rest of world 70-700
the net7 launcher give me a latance from 174
so it give it only 2 option cheap german host like 1und1 strato t-o(ff)nline or server4y
or the server is not in germany
€dit: forum and net7.org is hostet on 1und1 u.s.
well i get a ping of 14 to play.net-7.org, so either someone made faster than light communication to the server possible, or the server is located in german;)

by using multipe computers or vmware workstation.

This usually only happens on 64-bit windows. Use regedit.exe and change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Westwood Studios\Earth and Beyond\Registration\Registered from 0 to 1 and the registration should go away.

Again I'm not saying this is ST4 cutover, but it's apparently coming "soon".
apparently "soon" can mean anything from 1 minute to several years if we use the definition of most software developers
