Is there an easy way of doing that? I am a bit of a newb when it comes to modifying windows files. maybe its fear? =P

I am running the same, windows Vista64 and get the exact problem. I uninstalled all of the files and did a full reinstall and it worked until the snow knocked out the cable for a second. when I tried to log back in it would not work. I am not sure about the force update as I have not tried that. I have tried logging in and changing all of the check boxes at the top in various orders. If there is any further information that you need to help just let me know.

So when I put in my user name a pw as soon as I hit enter or accept it pauses for half a second like its going to go, then the window closes. Might be some graphic incompatability but I am not sure where to check that. I am also unsure durring the log in do I need to tell Megan that I have an existing EA account, or just cancel that and go straight to the username a pw? Thanks in advance for the help.
