Reason 1: There are 150 levels, not 1 level. Making content for only 1 level (the highest one) is only catering to one aspect of the game. End game. It causes the perpetual cycle where everything but final loadout is useless and there is never any reason to do anything but fast track to 150 and then bore oneself with the same 3-5 raids endlessly for months. How many more level 9 items do you really think this game needs?

Reason 2: There was a serious lack of any content post skill mission and prior to raids. These add a flexibility from 50-135 that was not there before. Hopefully even more can be added as the story progresses.

Reason 3: Community feedback demanded mid level content. Ive heard it on the forums, in the game, on teamspeak, everywhere. My bad that I wasnt clear enough when patch time came to let the people know.

Reason 4: It gave an opportunity to add some items that were missing/desired. Hopefully some of these have filled that gap or given more options down the line.

Reason 5: Not everyone is a hardcore mode gogogogogogogo player. Casual pacers and especially those returning will be looking for something to actually do vs sitting at a job terminal with their JE at Surti Alpha.

Reason 6: There is plenty of endgame future content already in the works or planned, I did not need to focus my attention there.

    There you go.

Oh the part about jobs? Separate issue, but it ties in, since the ONLY real way of leveling was either natural grinding or jobs for the last two years.

I agree with all of your reasons but the first one actually. However you missed my point completely. There are more then one kind of player. There are those that like the slow grind and those that like end game. Again I ask you why not make both happy here. Forcing someone to play a game the way they do not like will cause people to not play. If you dont enjoy it would you play it? Add all the mid and low content you want. I am not against that at all. Let the other players play the way they want as well is all I am saying. As for the feedback was it the same 3 people? I am asking you to see reason here.

Just like the DEV/GM's I want to see the game headed in a good direction not taking a step back.

One last thing, again I ask you. If you dont enjoy a game would you play it?

From my standpoint, this is a frustration as well. I wrote a massive mid to high level content themepark in progen space for the live push, and plugged it again on the last content note patch, and havent seen many doing it. When I tested those missions I dinged six times, came out with over 2 million in credits, and six new items I couldnt get anywhere else. It did take me a whole two or three days to do it playing casual, but it beat sitting at a job terminal.

Its not that its anything fantastic or crazy whoa out there, but its a viable alternative to jobs that grants a decent amount of XP, credits, and new items as you dig deeper into it.

However, because of efficiency and min/max mentality and the "tried and true" of leveling a JE to wormhole the rest of the alts around and just jobbing to 150, not a single person has done enough of the new missions for even a single one of the new items to be owned by any player. No one has even seen the items. (checked the IDs earlier, and none of them are owned by any player avatar)

Id be all for a severe nerfing of the job system, I think its needed it for a very long time. However I also know we have bigger fish to fry right now, like getting the server stable and the midnight DNS issue resolved. I can bring this up at the next meeting, but I couldnt give you a timeframe or anything like that, but yes ongoing balance needs to be addressed.

    Why?
I mean why try to force people to do mid to low level content? There should be a choice here. If someone wants to do that content then great for them. If someone wants to go to 150 to raid then they should be able to as well why would you want to force this? I think this is a valid question. Think of it this way not everyone shares your view on content and how to get to end game. Please dont be so focused on making people play they way you want them to and allow choices so more can enjoy it. 2 cents and if i get change back great!

PS I just started my PW and might give these new missions a try but I also would like to have a choice.

set your computer to use google nameservers at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

net-7.org dns registration tends to fell off the radar from time to time.

No idea on how to do this.

    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Can you could try adding entries in that file ^^ temporarily, for example the following:

    74.208.192.215 play.net-7.org sunrise.net-7.org www.net-7.org
    74.208.132.71 patch.enbemulator.com

That ought to do the trick for the launcher and the proxy, if they're having fun times trying to resolve the names. And get you access to the portal again.

Again need more details on how to do this.

Darkk That did not work as well.
  4. No idea why but as of yesterday I can not open net7 page and the launcher will not start the game from my home internet. When I check to see what the problem is it says my DNS server is not working. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix?
  5. I would like to challenge the DEV/GM's to join every guild during prime time and just ask how people think of whats going on with they game. Instead of trying to correct our thinking try listening to what people think. Maybe we can understand what the DEV's are thinking a little better with some one on one time. Statements like "working as intended" in a reply on my last post really helps no one. It sends the message that the DEV's are done listening and even talking. If that's the case say so and we will stop trying as well. There is a small minority here that post over and over about a hardcore economy and auctions meanwhile its making most upset and ready to give up.

A casual economy is not a bad thing and would be great for them game. Being forced into a hardcore one will kill it.

I was told I can be harsh and even rude on my posts so I will do my best to end this one on a good note so maybe people will see I mean no personal offense with my passion for this game.

Puppy's, Sunsets over water, Football game, New Car Smell, Wining the Lotto, Sorry cant thinking of anything else good to say and its getting weird. End!
  6. Here we go again! This NOT how it was in live. Anyone that says it is just does not remember correctly. During live (2004) my brother played this game as well and was a TT. His computer was right next to mine and not only could I see his sceen but I also would hear him talk when and how he would get aggro from mobs and raids. Yes when he would heal sometimes he would get aggro for just a second or two then it would go right back to the tank. You NEVER had to use any skill to regain aggro from the healer, Healing would NEVER draw mobs in the area to the TT. Thats just crazy to think it should. As for the tactics we used for example the fishbowl. The reason the TT was used with a JD on the edges of the sector was not cause the TT was getting aggro from healing it was cause there was so many mobs just wondering around without any tank on them that if ANY toon got close they would aggro on it. Another good example was the DT scooter raid. A wave would come in and everyone would focus fire on one target leaving the rest to rampage the groups until we kill the first target. Again this would cause alot of TT deaths amounting to huge debt but it was not caused by healing aggro just the fact the loose mobs would randomly pick toons and kill them during waves. A good tank would learn how to switch targets quickly to each of the incoming mobs to gain aggro before it would get to the group. Now if that tank died during the fight then mostly likely the TT would be the next to die.

Think about this. If the mobs always act a certain way then sooner or later someone will come up with a tactic to beat it and poof you have SIMPLE mode again. The only way to keep it challenging is to have random events each and everytime you enter a fight thus random attacks from untanked mobs.
  7. The economy will never be like it was in live!! To spend so much time and effort to try and get that way is a complete waste. The player base is just to small here and I dont beleive it will ever be enough on to make it work. Yes it will for a short time after this wipe but just wait and see in 3 to 6 months. The true currency of the game is items that are rare and tradeable. If more and more credit sinks are added all it will do is kill the player base. The people in charge will never listen to anyone else have to say so do as you wish. Infact the FREESTUFF attitude is alive and well aready. In the short time I have played I have seen tons giving away. All this will do is cause fewer builders at first till everyone funnels most of the items to each guilds main builders.

The end-game loot will also never be sold for credits. Just another misguided hopeful thinking here. At best rare items will be traded for rare items. Want to know what the player base wants??? I will tell you simply.
    CONTENT!! More of it!!

  8. Hey here is an idea. Why not stop the nerf hammer and try to bring the game to where its all at the same level. I mean where does its end? Lets just make all toons have level 6 weapons, level 4 sheilds and level 2 reactor then its all completely worthless. No more " I WIN" only "I FAIL".

Two Progens walk into a bar....and fall over with a concussion...because they didn't use the door...

    Two Progens....that's it...that's the joke....one Progen is funny enough...but two...that's hilarious!

Two Progens get into a fight over who gets to try out their new projectile launcher first. A Terran walks by and takes it, and scolds them for stealing his flashlight.

Two Progens are working in a lab. One says, "I have done it!" The other asks "You found the perfect genetic code for all Progens to aspire to?" The first replies, "Yes, it was right here in this shipment of Jenquai DNA!"

    Priceless!!
  10. Yes the DPS is low on the HB but like I said before use the weapon in a creative way and the DPS can be increased during the fight. I had a Dung Flinger in live and I still used the HB. Its simple and it actually give TE's something to do during long kite fights. Just shot 1 time with the HB and uninstall it and install another weapon. EASY! By the time the HB would have shot again you can install any weapon and increase your DPS overall. Yes I am speaking of fights where there is no JE/JD in group. Overall DPS is what counts NOT each weapons DPS.

Think about this. Even though the Dark matter weapons are not in game yet the DM ML has about 25% critical hit chance at 200% but uses level 8 ammo. The buff makes it solid GOLD for a TE. As for the Dung Flinger I found that it was really not that great of a weapon. You could get way better overall DPS with out using it at all.
  11. The HB is actually almost perfect just as it is. First it works just like it did in live so no need to change. Second there is no other weapon/device with a debuff range like it has. Third once the weapon fires once just take it out and install a bile or weapon of your choice and this will increase your DPS. The only problem I see with the HB is maybe decrease its energy useage. If your grouped with a JE/JD you dont need to use the HB anyways.
