  1. No Vince....without going into detail, a L2 build is not affecting the overall build quality in the same way like a "same level build".

     

    The currently commented code in the server is almost a system like Knix suggested, tho its not "static", it's more dynamic with the diff. build levels because building 100 items at L1 is not the same like building 100 items at L4 (build costs, components etc).

     

    What Zackman saying is:

     

     

    1. Code makes it so that you can build 50 L9 items which would equal to crafting 1000 L1 items.. or similiar (numbers are made up) without changing current situation...

     

    It will not fix whine of original poster about other players but gives casual builders faster progression without carpal tunnel or mouse spring breaking... 

     

    2. However, other comments is, most 200% builders can now drop to 135% qualities at L9, because code may also setup "TRAP" to build 4000 L9 items to get 200% ;)

     

    Which would fix whine of original poster about other players but gives even hardcore players carpal tunnel and casual builders may not even get close to 200% in their whole life till EMU shuts down. 

     

    Which is why Zackman's second "Subjective" comment may be really trap...

  2. This should be not needed anymore since yesterday's patch includes a check function, kicking so called "link dead" players after one (or was it two) minutes.

     

    Not sure about that Zack, tonight, my connection was a bit unstable... my modem rebooted, meanwhile I rebooted my computer, did Windows updates, came back (which are more than 2 minutes definitely) and my two toons got stuck and thanks to Blacklung kicked them... Client was simply crashing after selecting character and map screen... 

  3. Hey Shaddex, any idea why patch notes on the portal arent showing when I click the tab using Firefox?

     

    It shows a blank page to me (the patch notes appear for about 1 second and vanish)

    It might be similiar issue why second builders tab didnt show before...

    Sending different number of items from a stack (Vault transfer & Mail) (Suggestion)

     

    If you can transfer limited number of items from a stack of items on either mailing or vault transfer it would be really appriciated... May be pop-up window asking number with default value of total number and max number if it has more than 1 item in stack as we drag it to transfer banks.

     

     

    Stacking same items on transfer if there are same stat items (Suggestion)

     

    While transfering items from toons to toons, it would be lovely if there are same stat stackable items to stack together rather than taking another slot in vault (like components / ammo built by same person) following stacking rules and numbers. This is most likely highly challanging suggestion. 

     

     

    Side notes to your own map 

     

    - Pin a point or coordinates on your own map and take side notes like small post-its on selected for your own map (ofcourse on portal, not in game)  -- Willboney

    Full screen Youtube Video Embedding 

    Full screen option on posted Youtube videos might be nice, especially posting in-game bugs as videos, removes requirements for going to youtube for seeing it clear... 

     

    Attachments in Bug Tracker.

    We can post attachments to boards and threads but not in Bug Tracker where you often need it most. Screenshots, Text results etc. Currently we can add attachment but not able to display them in bug tracker.

  5. I vote against a top builder list being its own "monopoly" basically players who can use net-7 to prefer those list as "best builders in quality" which would be completely false in reality.

     

    It would not be a competition, but merely advertising list...

    You should really increase number of words in your vocabulary...

     

    There is a reason I am not in any guild: Dramas... May be you really should leave too if you are sick of "bitching, whining playerbase so much"  since you use these words on your every single post. 

  7. Most likely only time I agree with Matt is about loot progression part...

     

    Seeing L56 guys dropping L5-6 ML's in Moto, I gave up all theories about loot progression...

     

    I knew it dropped regardless of all myths and lies turning around "I got it from critical analyze" , not that many people could build it with critical analyze...  They were just not sharing it... Same went around Athanor Adementine AMF2 too... I had to force find it by killing anything moves on most forsaken sectors and mobs spawning outside the play area... 

  8. We've made most of the architectural changes to the player object (hence the serious reduction in crashes!) but we still have a bit to go, more than was originally anticipated with the amount of skilled programmers available. :)

    Oh right! Crashes... I seem to remember them... 

     

    Server Crashes now sounds like very distant past indeed... Bug tracker also cleaned in lightning speed thanks to you guys... I can say most skills are now working as intended (or as indescriptions as well), with combat improvements now and then, I say it is almost done and ready for next stage...

    "If you are a high enough level player to run an L7 engine the only thing this mission will challenge is your patience and tolerance for head banging boredom. The developers really went way out of their way to make this mission tedious and time consuming. I suspect many higher level players have abandoned and forfeited the Zeke's Solar Sail Mission out of pure frustration over not wanting to waste yet more of their time. Given that there are other decent low sig L7 engines in the game such as the Sundari Trifid LGS 7 and Io C/7000, the Zeke's Solar Sail mission may not be worth your time and effort. However, if you are hell bent for leather to do the Zeke's Solar Sail mission, here are the mission details and a number of tips which will hopefully help you make a little shorter work of the ordeal. "

  10. Note guys that I normally avoid the "Player Knowledgebase" section, as this is an area I consider to be for your private discussions. You might consider bringing something like this up under "Suggestions" if you have a good idea for it. The original intent of the skill was to break the "thrust barrier" and allow the Scout to exceed 1000 thrust but balance requirements dictated that we limit it on a "for now" basis until we have time to look at all of that. Just an FYI (it is probably not in its final form) although I've been told repeatedly about Hack I think you all should hold out on that one as well because we're revisiting the functionality of Hack too.

    Hack is now fine for last two or three weeks, it is fixed :) At least doing what it says on descriptions and much much much better and worth to invest now :)

     

    Afterburner on the other hand, well, there might be other suggestions.... 

     

    What scout needs would be emergency skill like powerdown / cloak on other explorers... If thrust would be over 1000 that would be the idea... However, like other emergency skills it might be short term for balancing... May be insta warp away similiar to "Fold space" 

     

    Terran Scouts already bragging about being fastest with 9045 warp speed... Other Terrans especially Enforcers would die for an skill like Afterburner or Navigate since Terrans are known for speeds, like Progen known for strength, Jenquai knowns for stealth 

  11. TT can build most if you use it mainly for building...

     

    However, my suggestion would be definitely following:

     

    Engines - Let TS do it

    Components - Single choice TT

    Devices - TS

    Shields - TT

    Weapons - TE

     

    There you cover everything terran can...

     

    TS don't have much skills to put skill points...

    You need components for most ammo in the future or anything else...

  12. Ignoring SiSL's rant here at the end --  I am not sure that the link provided links the impact of faction to the exchange rate for the Agrippa advanced build items. The dynamic faction was linked to mission acquisition and progression. 

     

    It would be good if Byakhee could confirm if this was intentional. The e-mail chain referenced ties the dynamic faction to mission acquisition and cost elements only.

    At Link provided, what I got is "Other factions if they are positive effects you, if they are negative (except collegia) does not effect you" however, while post greatly mentions about "Factional requirements and costs" we know Scuti will hate players with Infinity & Red Dragon factions. 

     

    Generally entire Aggripa lines of missions forces players to stay away being friends with RD's, which is why it stops you at Nav point in Nostrand Vor Space (en route back from your testing missions) to and threaten you "Now you will pay your relationship with pirates"  (if you are not friends, you just get away with it)

     

    Cost of elements which is more likely cost of exchange as well, "you have to pay more to build subelements for less items in return" , which increase cost itself.

     

    Basically like other developer post yesterday, solution is "build a toon that does nothing more than kill RD'S" (copied / pasted from here about factional solution https://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/8616-go_to_post/?view=findpost&p=74782)  

     

     

    PS: I'm sorry if I offended you or Byakhee by saying "does not worth it", well, it is the truth... "Ranted as intended" , still appriciate the try tho... 

  13. So far I finished Stage I & II from all Architecti's

     

    But after all these mess (yes, mess) I've decided RD faction and just using BBW & Paramis is far more rewarding than those mission lines, yes, there are some "avaragely" good items but does not worth all the hassle for it. These type of "tedious" missions (mind you, not challanging, just tedious) are part of 20th century, let them stay there... Game may be old, but you don't use tyres or gas made in 1969 for your '69 Mustang if you are driving it....  "Exchange to make it more tedious" when you have established Component builders? Lame... Make 1m item just some PW takes notes of his testing? Peeh.... 

     

    Imperator Aggripa can get their items and shove them in his... beer... They can not compete with "Infinity" or "GetCo" as they claim, if they can not make their items on "Assembly line" like them (a la button only with real live sold/crafted components, not non-tradable build & dismantle first items)

     

    Best is to keep up with original story line... Looks like not loosing a thing without such "side missions"

    Im farming 30K RD....chavez is like -50K.

    Now i sell RD faction, down to 0. Chavez is still -50K.

     

    Now i refarm RD faction to +30K, Chavez goes down to -100K...how much more cycles needed to see the problem? 

     

    This idea is simply BAD, there are a tons of "follow up" work coming with this, tons of needed changes. You would need caps which opens other exploits (since we have group faction in):

    I farm down my Chavez to -15K, helping noob in group to gain RD faction.

    I can do this the whole day (Shield Nova) without getting any more punishment on my PW than -15K Chavez.

     

    Market:

    WTS Factiongroup/farming - 1 mil/hour, pst.....

     

    Nope SISL, bad idea...NEXT  :lol:

  15. You are right, Shield Nova style tool, never came to mind... (never grown a PW and dislike PW's thansk to Aggripa testing requirements) 

     

    Hence Faction limits like in WW Live would come handy...

     

    -10K min for all, 15K max affilliate (Your own class faction), 12K max with any other...

     

    Don't forget, most classes gets up to -9000 to some factions by default (and this is not you went to road a by chocie, you can't to road b type of selection) just curious of paths to bring this to classes without superb tool like Shield Nova (like 8 of them)

  16. A slash command for donating some of your "earned" faction to your fellow players as a bailor, sponsor or warrantor.

     

    /factiondonate <faction_name_predefined_as_single_word_pda_text> <amount> (while player is your target, only happening in space)

     

     

    Rules:

     

    1. Donator should be established player (over OL135 and received final Hull upgrade) to use this command prevent new character donations. 

     

    2. You can not donate an amount that would leave you below +2000 of said faction. 

     

    3. You have to be at least +4000 faction to be able to sponsor another player (you at least need to be better friends with faction to be bailor) 

     

    4. Only half of your donation will be translated to your friend as faction. eg. If you donate 2000 faction, player will only receive 1000 faction. You will loose 2000, other player will gain 1000. (eg. similiar to current win-loose on killing factions, if you kill a faction ship, you loose 2x of what you gain to opposite faction) 

     

    5. Works for any faction marked as active factions.

     

    6. If / When Faction limits are set, that would be additional restriction on number of factions to be donated combined with above rules.

     

     

     

    Faction names:

     

    All facitons have a designated single word name (that list is to be supplied if implemented) Red Dragon = Pirate etc.

     

     

    Why?

     

    1. Help of players to each other for docking priviliages that has been discussed a lot lately (RD-Sharim love)

     

    2. Patching wounds of hulk nerf (aka suit & tile nerf)

     

    3. Saving other players / guildies from repetitive mindless tasks (jobs) by donating faction you don't need.

     

    4. Helping save time on faction requirements for certain tasks. (Aggripa comes to mind)

     

     

     

    I think I covered basics, anti-exploit and balance guidelines. Please feel free to add opinions, ideas... 

     

     

     

    Forgot a tool like SHIELD NOVA is in-game...
