I totally agree. This was the biggest thing I wanted to be able to contribute - loved how the players ended up being able to help shape the future of the game through things like this. Not sure if more than a couple of devs read my never published story regarding the apparently tainted codex of privateer trainers, but I think in-character things like that within appropriate guidelines will add to the storyline, promote laughs, possibly drive the storyline in new directions, plus keep us storyline geeks satiated with goofy tidbits

nevermind, I found it in release/chat.log. Not sure how I missed it before!

In live, the client would log all chat and computer messages to a file in the client/output directory if i'm not mistaken. However, I can't seem to find this log now. I'd like to see the conversations I had with other players. Is this kept somewhere else now or disabled by default? If so where, or how can I enable it? Thanks!
