    Ya CDeL Launcher crashes when it calls Client.exe to load (assuming its expecting the up to date version) so causes crash. As mentioned if firing the client.exe up on its own look up thats whats happening and why launcher is crashing. Doesnt seem to be a problem with proxy as it loads, runs and updates itself fine. Its just the actual game install thats being a pita and not taking the patches/updates as it says it is.
  2. Found the client(EnB Game) seems to not be taking the updates even though it says it is... But when firing up the client.exe itself, we see the old intro, and then error saying client out of date please update (then quits)...

    Tried reinstalling, then reupdating via enbup.exe, via launcher... no joy... Install was performed via original game cd's, next step to remove/reinstall via the enbdemo installer... Shrugs.

    She needs the Chim 8 to drop. The Coma device needs to work, but this applies to all Jenquai not just the JT. She will need an array of devices that she can use in combat support as well. Something that's not already covered by the Explorer classes.

    Engines: Don't really see anything she particularly needs, besides a better choice than the SS8, especially with the SS8's device energy conserve buff (device orientated trader, great buff, zero sig). Don't really see much here for her, unless there are some engines that the devs have made for her that aren't in the db as of yet.

    Reactors: Okay here with the Gallina/Draco/Cygnus line, but more options couldn't hurt.

    Shields: On the Sharim Prototype Shield, perhaps the Improved Psi Shield buff could be replaced with an Equipment Engineering buff, since she traded Psi Shield for Build Reactor a while back.

    Overall, more equipment that's designed for her would help the JT.

    Actually having that Sharim Prototype Shield in game would be nice to begin with period... And yes L9 Devices wouldnt hurt either (L9 Engines really no point in it and to quote another DEV, The PP didnt get a nice debuff moved to a reactor from the Agrippa PL instead it went to the Shield because its what Progens are good at PLs and Shields), Ok well Jenquai are good at devices and reactors then ditch the L9 *Just because its a Trader doesnt mean it has to have L9 Engines (or if your content with L9 Engines, lets see some for the Jenquai and JS especially in game - The L9 Triffid is meh, the IO even more meh, the L9 Ursa not really ingame and meh buffwise to the JS)

    So lets see some love shared to the JS because when I started and was in mid level with mine it was looking promising, only to have that crushed at max level to find out using a L6 device gives better buffs than anything else for the Shield Recharge skill (Black Peg Leg VIII unless over 160% doesnt compare to a L6 Guardian how sad is that) Another skill would be nice but I'd take the swap to L9 Devices to L8 engines pending any additional skill tbh, that added in with make the Sharim Proto shield actually drop so there are builders in game (RankoTT - DEV doesnt count). Perhaps this shield, maybe a new reactor but really the HoTM is awesome for any L9 reactor user so thats kinda moot, and possibly a look at some devices into the L9 realm if that is granted (Hell that L9 Guardian if dropped along with the 7-8 would actually get some use out of it! As in live no one could use a L9 guardian either lol)

    Ya this class needs work as mentioned above, I think is the bastard child of the 9 lol. Oh the shared scan range should not be considered only because that was a JE thing as JDs didnt get that feature either.
  4. Haha too funny sound like me trying to get my EnB Fix. Unfortunately bud Im stationed overseas right now. I got about 4 more hours or so at work so might be pretty late your time. Again I got some methods to work with ya where it wont cost either a dime ;)

    Only problem is our timezones differ greatly atm. Its 145PM where I am (GMT+9). I'm sure some others may chime in here to help, but I will do what I can when I can for ya bud.

    Download teamspeak and have that ready as we'll use that as primary communications.

    Some other things to check while I'm strapped to a limited work computer are:

    What OS? If Vista/7 make sure when you launched the installer you chose to run as administrator (that usually is a problem which we can remedy as well). Again when you got to that fileplanet point was it just a white browser windows and lil error message? ALT-TAB to the installer is it still going or held up?

    That's about all I can do at this point until Im off work bud. I'll try to reach you then if your still awake lol :).

    Does the installer not allow you to progress? If I'm not mistaken that error pops up but if you alt-tab to the installer it was progressing on? I cannot check further at this time as I'm at the real job, but if your still having trouble later and I happen to be online, I could work with you via Teamspeak/Teamviewer to help you get installed/resolved.

    We always appreciate more new/old faces back in the game and hey them donations dont hurt either.

    Can you verify what time its suppose to take? Since server move its taking almost 2X as long as before (for more than just me, several in game are experiencing severe delay/lag while at the manufacturing terminal. Assuming you say source code this cannot be modified? If it can set that mess to 1-2secs LOL.

    Not sure about the sound (so routine now) but isn't there a noise of some sorts made when the screen flashes "Rojo has manufactured X item at Y %" ? I'd say gather yourself some components to build some ammo say 20-30 stacks... Ooh even better start with making the ammo comps for said stacks :) Then work on the ammo. Look at the delays between each manufacture button push (it varies noticeably between each push) and as mentioned it seems to be taking longer than normal (even before was a bit long if you ask me, and only worsened as of late).

Have someone analyze and manufacture (alot during this too) lately it seems this is been hit with severe lag and pushing that Manufacture button 200+ times for ammo/comps is a DRAG and then some. I think I click manufacture and it takes anywhere from 4-10secs minimum before I can push again for the next.


    Some other (not sure if belongs here but possibly could boost performance).

    Shut off every user being able to see when everyone logs on. In live you would only see those messages if that person was on your friends list. I know sometimes its a help, but mostly its more an annoyance to see people constantly logging on/off as they switch between alts, crash, etc. This just may be me but it pushes what little window I have for information off the screen and fills up the logs rather quickly with useless info.

    The other one would be the info chat window showing the components in hold flash upon every push of the manufacture button, if not mistaken (correct me if wrong again) but wasnt it just an error message for an item that was not present/missing, thus preventing you from pushing the manufacture button? That could be another hint as to why that takes forever too the fact it checks all that and sends a message? I assume the checks are necessary but is it really helpful to keep saying over and over 200+ times in the chat window that X items are in hold (again see comps/ammo/items requiring 5+ component builds).

    Actually funny thing the Progens can make more reactors than Jenquai (look at how many a PP can make vs a JE/JS) and 2 races use more Progen reactors than any other (if they're smart). Progens utilize the Warrior Heart Line and so do the Terran's (at least a smart TT). And only a small amount of Progen built projectiles are appealing, look at the list, Bayonets, Dirks, ZPC, Zets, Ballista, Bile etc hardly any of those are actual Progen built. Rifles/Mortars/Archos at best get 1 used while the smart man uses the others mentioned throughout Progen growing up phases. Don't confuse usage of Projectiles with known for being better builders of them.

    Look at the Agrippa Shield buffs vs Crimson Force Barrier shield... No progen in their right mind would ever give up all those stats for the Agrippa ones tbh, even with adding the Activated Impact Debuff to it. On the other hand the Agrippa Reactor is rather impressive and viable use option for certain Progens (if not all) placing it there would make it that much more attractive. But alas efforts are futile looks like ya already pushed it off to the shield (Heck I cant even give them things away lol) But the device, reactor, and gun are hot numbers in what they bring to the plate.

    Still enjoyed the missions though, can't wait till the next round of tormenting B) Kenu don't go gettin any ideas leave the wacky to B ;)

    I hope/pray it was moved to the Device/Reactor, would be awesome as the shield does not warrant the loss of the CFB Buffs ;)!

    In fact here is where you seem to be only have done 1/10th of the missions which those rewards you list and infact if you paid any attention to reading they specifically say they are not that great in the mission chat. That they are used in later missions/builds to improve upon. The stage I stuff is by no means worthwhile, but they are required to be completed to get to the end goal (The Stage II L7-9). Which some of those items are actually quite good imo. 1 in particular has enhanced a certain aspect of how we run a FB *in 30mins flat no less on our normal characters.

    The funny thing I see with the people who complain about the missions are those who refused to do them or incapable of doing them to the end. Yes as Lannister mentioned they add another dimension of difficulty and style to the game. Are they like live? No are the PP/JS/TS like live, nope. The only things mission wise really the Progens had in live to begin with are the Hull Upgrade missions, so what am I missing here that the cry for like live is?

    Yes I too notice there are somethings from live that should be done first, have to pick and choose battles here, 1 thing to remember perhaps data is still being gathered/worked on to reflect such as live (Vrix/DT/Bogeril) and maybe even having to be written from scratch. I also believe we should focus hardcore on server stability before any changes/content, but we have people working that as well and not all are responsible for it (Content Devs especially like ;), and with that an argumentative, while working on server stability say you max out on everything possible to do in the game then what? You get bored and leave or complain there is no new content! Trust me I deal/see it every day. Try placing yourself on the other side, its a constant balance act to create/recreate content, stability, and player enjoyment.

    As far as the Agrippa missions, most of the negativity came from the original roll out that had several flaws/issues with them and then changed mid stream (to a more player friendly method), yet still requiring a player to think and present a challenge to them. I have seen some of the older salty dogs who have no swayed opinions on said missions as of late since they have re-gone thru them, just ask around. Try to keep an open mind and not hold grudges on past transgressions as changes have/are being made. I know the term is hated but this is still Testing phase, and primary player role is as such imo. I enjoy testing every aspect of the game and if something is wrong eh dirt of the shoulder write up a report send it in an argumentative manner ie What you did, whats wrong and possible resolutions to the fact. Just remember sometimes your resolution may not always be what is done, but again patience and understanding on limited capabilities that maybe at the other end of the stick to reproduce a game from 10years ago. Lastly there are numerous players now who have completed all of Agrippa Stage I,II and III. Ask around in game for help before crying foul, as most who endured them are willing to help/offer advise and guidance.

  13. Normally you wouldnt have to but server acting like a punk lately so ya sorry for the issue. And I do have fun with the Agrippa stuff (post fixation of them) I think B did a bang up job at least with the spiderweb involvement of all the missions as well as the entire Progen Class. Initial get go needed some polish but I think we've got them working pretty square lately (for the most part as some just struggle with the guess work to get next steps etc.) As far as mission mechanics go though they work well.
  14. Tienbau, not sure if this helps but I did notice that users latency to the server seems to play a major role in this. And recently with the issue in Japan, alot of major inter-connects on that side of the world are borked so traffic is all messed up. From my location I'm hitting high 300-600ms latency and sometimes can't get past the launcher's login phase, then when I do, I get hanging at the Galaxy Map. I accept mine due to that, but other users experience it still and have much lower latency than I do.

    I just hope the Japan backbone gets fixed, its causing havoc (among all the other mess they dealing with) on the interweb!

    No, because I would of quit long time before sunrise then. Especially due to high server lag etc if doing a large raid, and I would crash all the time to come back dead? What would be the point of playing. No that's not what happened, the server saved where you were, what state your equipment was in etc. So if I was getting attacked, crashed on my end at 75% shields, I would come back with a little less since the server was still trying to reconnect me and character was online (say 50% now). Sign back in less shields sure because Mobs were still pounding me in the server sense. But it certainly wouldn't reset it back to 0! Hell there's been times this has caused (while in station) my character to die so to speak, at login it shows me paying a Tow fee and I have XP debt (not frequent but once and awhile). Yet for 24-48hrs I was docked in a station the entire time.

    Ya that's a problem if you ask me and hopefully get's remedied because combined with server instability that we experience in the ST, its glutton for punishment :/

    1) Goes by the category (Device, Shields, Engines, Reactors, Weapons, etc)
    2) I couldn't say specific %s as I do not know what/how its calculated, I do know it improved analyze by a couple %. And building as well of course. I would say its in the range of 1-10% depending on prints the higher of course, Don't quote me that's just a WAG for that 10% I can say having more prints certainly helps even just a few percent especially when dealing with more difficult build items ex. Agrippa L7-9 tech. Sorry I don't have any more technical details as its not my area of knowledge in that aspect. I just know this holds true as it did in Live just like here. It's why I had majority of the game printed in Live on Galileo and held the top spot on the server.

    As far as others mentioning players been online. Ya some of those names aren't always on/always building. This list I don't think was meant to show who's the more popular builder/most built items etc (those were traceable stats in Live) But honestly doesn't hold to much salt here IMO. Plenty of times on my play toon when I see someone's request for something built, most of the time select few are already diving on it, so I just idle by since there's no real competition currently for the Market, hopefully that will change because I did enjoy that aspect! But right now current state and size of the community I don't see it happening any time soon.
