  1. Enforcer
    of the Earth Corps

    Name:
Shaelia Vindel (Dislikes her Family name, and tends to dislike those
who use it in association to her)
    Class:
    Terran Enforcer
    Gender:
    Female, 26
    Homeland:
Born in space, in Aragoth System.
    Education:
Learned much of what she knows about space escaping the Red Dragon
Tongs, and escaping from her Parents.

Assigned duty: Shaelia is a drifter within the Earth Corps. She chooses to
call no one place home, preffering to be stationed in random places
    as she completes her duties.

    Details:
    Medical.
<Dossier Entry 2033-458971-4457687 Shaelia Vindel from the desk of
Admiral Herrera: The Medical Staff came to me with this curious
report, or a report they thought was curious rather. A young woan
wanting to be part of Earth Corps Enforcers, not unusual in this day
and age. What they did say was unusual was her mental condition. She
seemed to have an overly cheerful disposition in all areas, like she
enjoyed watching missile flares and smoke trails from her own
launchers as they sought an enemy. According to what they have
    written here, it says:

"Shaelia approaches almost all tasks with a fiery energy and a very morbid
curiosity. If given the chance to destroy soemthing, she will do just
that simply to see how it breaks apart as it is exploding. While we
do not believe that Shaelia is entirely mentally stable, she is
certainly gifted in following orders, and seems to actually enjoy not
being around the same people for very long. She might like someone
aboard a station while she is there but the fact she is in the same
place for longer than a few weeks at a time will irritate her as we
have seen in the medical labs while we have studied her and her odd
    traits."

DeWynter thinks that this one will be particularily useful to us in some way,
so I am compelled to listen. What I don't understand is what the Red
Dragons want with her and why do I remember hearing her Family name
    yet cannot place it?>

    Personality.
<Psychological Assessment on 2033-458971-4457687 Shaelia Vindel
for the desk of Admiral Herrera: Shaelia is a go getter. If she is
given orders she will often complete them beyond the scope of what is
given. If ever asked why, her typical reply is "Because I could,
and so I did. And it was fun.". This is how she seems to
approach a lot of things, and while this was indeed caused during her
escape from the clutches of the Red Dragons, some would say that it
does not seem to match the Magnitude of what she says. It is possible
she is not saying everything about those events even now, ten years
    later.>

    Social.
<Personal notes on 2033-458971-4457687 Shaelia Vindel as seen from
Admiral Herrera: "Ever since this young woman came to the Earth
Corps, she has been making a blazing inferno of both friendships and
enemies alike. It is my best guess that she does not understand many
of the nuances of being human and how to deal with others, and since
she seems to have this mentality of Fast and Fun, Short and
Sweet...it seems to make her a bit of a space-wreck when it comes to
dealing with people for more than a few weeks at a time. She sees no
difference between people from Earth, or the Progen, or even the
Jequai, though she does tend to regard most Traders as little more
than glorified Pirates and has shot at a few. If I ever survive this,
I will see to it that this woman is made an Admiral just to spite
DeWinter for saddeling me with her. Why? Because I can, and at that
point Shaelia would become DeWynter's problem, not mine.>

    Skillset.
<Skill and Profession Suggestion Report on 2033-458971-4457687
Shaelia Vindel: Subject excels at dismantling targets and running
away if needed. Subject is, as one might excpect, completely
fascinated with how objects are both assembled and disassembled. It
is suggested that this Subject be given access to build Weaponry and
Engines as they have an aptitude for the required processes. Subject,
however, is more akin to a Pirate Thug. Suggested Profession: Earth
    Corps Enforcer.>

    Career.
<Thoughts on the uses of 2033-458971-4457687 Shaelia Vindel, as
seen by Lady DeWynter: This one is most certainly unstable, yet I
will not let the Vindel bloodline simply disappear. They have been
too useful to me in the past. This one, however, is a loose Cannon,
and certainly not something I wish to have within InfinitiCorp. From
everything I have read on the reports my Scientists have put
together, she would best be a problem given to the "Good"
Admiral. One thing that does strike me as making this one useful,
however, is their willingness and ability to follow orders,
regardless of whom they come from so lon as that person shows they
are a superior. At least I know she won't go blowing away every
Progen and Jenquai that flies the space lanes. Only the ones she is
told to kill. Perfect for the Earth Corps, and in time perhaps a
perfect pawn should I ever need the Vindels again.>

    Corporation/Affiliation.
<Reporting Station 14776785, Zweihander, Earth Corps High Command:
Earth Corps Enforcers, serving to bring safety and peace to the Space
Lanes. Subject 2033-458971-4457687 is not present. Reason for Delay unknown. Last recorded known
location, Main Hangar of Earth Corps High Command. Data File on
Subject states Subject has been given special orders to complete
immediately. Reporting Station 14776785 concludes that Subjects
Current orders are of greater importance than determining Subject
Affiliation at this time. As Subject is following orders given,
assumption is that Subject serves Earth Corps in any and all
    capacities.>

    Loyalty.
<The matters of loyalty for 2033-458971-4457687 Shaelia Vindel
from the desk of Admiral Herrera: "There is no question that
this one will remain Loyal to Earth Corps at this time. She has
little love for the Pirates out there, and if even possible she has
less love of the Bogeril. Something about them smelling bad and
looking worse, if I remember right. I am concerned, however, if she
is ever given the opportunity to hunt down the Tongs that killed her
Family what direction she would go, and if she went would she come
back? This one may be unstable, but I see promise in her that one
does not see every day. Not ever since InfinitiCorp started running
    the show.">

    Secret
Details: <From the desk of Lady DeWynter on the Vindel Family
Line: We'd thought them all dead, but it just goes to show you that
sometimes you can be surprised. I was hoping the Tongs would kill off
this bloodline, but since the daughter still lives I may be able to
use her. She knew her parents operations well, and I could use that
especially if it means pitting the other Pirates against the Dragons.
I can use this one, and if she turns out to be less than cooperative
I can have her sent to Aganju...or better yet, Earth Corps. At least
there she would be directly useful to us, protecting our shipments.>

  2. I will work out a Bio of the two toons I will be RPing the most, that much is certain.

Now, I DID get an idea from a friend of mine who is a big part of the GW2 RP community. They were saying that with a small RP community it would probably work making a Guild and putting us all in there but attach ranks to the people like "Freelance" or "SolSec Pilot" and that sort of stuff. Sure only people in the Guild would see this, but it would also make sure the RPers would know who was on and when and hopefully do some actual RPing while allowing for the freedom Freelancers want. I think the key there would be Rankings meaning nothing more than just what style of RP you're using.

  3. Well, I know that I would be completely interested in something of this nature. However my only concern is that if it is something planned by Devs to follow a specific path or setting some of us may end up being stuck inside of a box that we may not do so well with. I tend to avoid absolutes when I RP, and this is for several reasons I won't get into here.

The only things I really have to contribute at this time is that we would indeed be interacting with other Guilds because we all play in the same space lanes, if they have members who want to actually RP then they can as well, but by and large interaction with them would likely be OOC.

Lore is important to Roleplaying as well, however one must also consider that Lore Mongers tend to ruin the ride (unless the break from Lore is just that glaring and makes no sense in so far as even YOU cannot explain it. Period). An RP community will have all types, putting us all into a single Guild may not actually be for the better in this case whereas you get some of the toons I play and they would more or less preffer to be free-lance pilots with loyalties to no one but themselves. Others would work well in an organization.

Anyways, just my two creds on this.

I'm behind the idea for sure, EnB used to have an incredible RP community when I was on Pegasus. Would help the game thrive again I think.

  4. You know, I left the EMU back when it was in ST 4 because it was incomplete and I knew there would be a wipe. I came back when I found out it had finally gone live and here's what I have to say.

    Awesome.

    Just that.

I don't care about people griping that Warrior classes have to shoot faster than everyone else, or that everyone has to have an item that never actually existed in Retail.

I care that the game is here, running, and that it's still fun. If you have fun min-maxing yourself then don't play this game. It will keep changing and evolving. But then again thats why i came back, it will keep growing so long as we have people giving their feedback in constructive ways.

Yeah, okay, ore field guardians are a pain in the butt, however given time I am certain someone can come up with a solution. I haven't encountered many yet as I am just starting out again but I am sure that given time I will actually find something that works and suggest it or ask to see if I can do it myself.

    Why?

Because I can actually ask and try and for no other reason.

Just felt like I had to add in my two cents on this after going through four pages on this thread :P
