    Because the way it is on Emu is intended - and i remember it being that way on live too: That only the most damager got the faction hit. I remember this from live because i joined Mordana Raids often and took care about not doing the most damage so my faction wasn't taking a hit.

    You mean that healers in Mordana raid can stay green even after 1000'th raid? That sounds like exploit ;-)

     

    Ofcourse parking your alts in range and grinding faction with higher level char sounds like exploit too.

     

    How about if you in group that does most aggro and get > 0 XP for it you get faction hit even when you not the highest dps in group (highest dps char in group gets faction hit regardless of XP). That way healers cant stay green with Mordana and low level groups can still grind faction together.

    Every time I try with this machine I get the INV- 300 error. I tried the fixes listed here, neither worked. I can get into the game just fine on any of my accounts via my Win7 machines. I know it has to be something simple that I am overlooking, but after 2 days of trying, i'm simply exhausted from trying so I will hope to get an answer here.

     

    PLEASE, what the heck am I missing here? No, there is no UAC on a Win XP machine.

    open 'internet options / content / certificates / trusted root cert' and search for local.net-7.org in 'issued to' column and remove it.

     

    Run launcher and it should reinstall certificate after you press 'play'.

    [/quote]INV-300 means that client is unable to securely connect to login service. You do not get INV-300 for wrong password (or username).

    Make sure you do not have 'local cert' checkbox selected in launcher, you do not block outgoing port 443/tcp (ssl, https), you have 'local.net-7.org' root certificates list (Internet options/Content/Certificates/Trusted Root Certificates, you may delete it from there and let launcher install it again)

    If IE has proxy enabled, and by default it has it set as 'automatic', and mobile net has automatic proxy configuration scipt, then game uses https proxy server wheres net7proxy.exe uses direct UDP connection to server.

    Now, when login server issues ticket to log in, it uses client IP as security measure. If net7proxy.exe and game connect using different ip's, then you get error that tells you to use default launcher. AFAIK that is the only occasion (game uses invalid ticket -> error: use default launcher)

    I say it again... in here you use forum account, in game you use game account. Also there is no activation for game accounts. What you created was forum account most likely. That does not help you.

    create new game account using net-7 portal and try that one to login into game.

EnB or Net7 client does not require much changes to system at all.

    You install latest .NET runtime, you install* Net7 launcher, create** dummy client.exe and point launcher to it, let it patch overnight. relaunch launcher from 'run-as admin' right click menu and let it install certificate. relaunch launcher in user*** privileges and enter game.

    * any place that does not require admin privileges to write is good (like c:\users\public\games\net7)
    ** you don't need to install EnB, but launcher does need client.exe. you can copy enb directory from other computer or use dummy file trick (c:\users\public\games\enb\release\client.exe)
    *** from my experience, client only needs admin privileges for ingame browser window component.

    You can use internet explorer options window to verify if certificate is installed (local.net-7.org under trusted root authorities). You can also remove it from that list and let launcher reinstall the certificate.

    ... I did not mention to edit launcher, proxy, client exe files and set them to 'run-as admin' and 'xp compatiblity'. There is no need for it.

    .. for running enb config utility. run it same way as you do launcher.

    .. 'packet opt' switch makes use of ~1400 byte packets (instead ~550 bytes). if you crash, turn it off
    .. 'proto reorder' uses more aggressive means to request lost packets. if you crash, turn it off.
    .. 'local cert' option 'installs' local https service and provides proxy for client requests. It should definitely be off.

    [/quote]Interesting. Did some testing on Vista and launcher scales down to 800x600 resolution fine. Even with 120dpi the play button was there and only slight covered (1280x800 resolution)
