  1. Since the Venus wormhole is just one gate from the ABB wormhole, could it be transferred to a more useful location?  Menorb (or when it opens Nebiros) in the Castor system, might be a good choice.  For Menorb it could be south of the nav path between Androzari & the unopened gate to Nebiros about midway between the two.  Another potential choice would be in the somewhere in the middle of Aganju, or when they open either Xango Moon or Theuligi (sp?) Rift, in 61 Cygni.

  2. Now on the aspect of secondary or tertiary weapons, I would like to see more support for them over the course of the game.  I don't think you should get them to L9, but if there are other benefits that make up for that, like a useful buff, that's hard to get for your race, that might be nice.  Of course the devil is in the details.  I'd suspect that the support classes might be quicker to adopt said weapons, since their contributions to a group or raid is often something other than DPS.

Having used Projectiles on a JE in EnB Origins, you needed a Heart of the Dark One reactor to get the most out of them.  A HoDO at 85% quality would get you around 7K Projectile range on a JE using Ninja's Shurikens.  The Flechette Beta PL would be rather nice on a JE/JT because of the Projectile Energy conserve, and the Reduce Signature buffs.  It does help that I already have a HoDO, an aa Gahkur Ys & an aa Gahte An Ne on my JE.  A HODO drops in the fishbowl or at the Tada-O gate.  The Ancient Artifacts; however, are quite rare.   I'm not sure what would be the right combination of buffs to get a support character to use said weapons that wouldn't be overpowered for the game.  It might not exist.

  3. No, I don't remember Dahlia, but that doesn't mean I didn't encounter that particular player.  Some players stuck in my mind more than others.  Serinna, comes to mind as an example of a player I easily remember.  She hosted many public fishbowls in the last few months.  I don't know if that particular player had characters on any of the other servers, but was definitely on Andromeda.  AstralProjection was the name that jumped out at me, but it's possible that I saw the name somewhere else related to the game.

  4. The creator won't overwrite an existing character.  If you've got a character in the slot already, the one you made with the creator won't show.  The first character you create on any the creator will be in the right most slot, the same applies if you log into the game, and make your first character for that account that way.  If you've already got an existing character on that account, look for an empty slot, and in the creator create your Scout, Seeker, or Privateer in the corresponding slot.  It will show that way.

The slots in the order they appear are left to right are:

    2 4 1 3 0

  5. I think it would be way overpowered for a PW to kite with L9 missiles, even if they don't use Shield Sap or Shield Inversion.  The ability to kite on a class that's already got the strongest hull of any, plus can use the Reinforced Solar Sail, Nitrous Oxide System, Ivory Ward, and Tolerance.  If the mob doesn't have either gravity link or summon, can he even catch up, especially if the PW lands Gravity Link, without having to change existing mobs?  Being able to avoid most damage would more than make up for the DPS lost by not using those skills mentioned.

Being able to do this would give a PW the ability to avoid damage almost as much as a TW, while also having more firepower than a TW, and being significantly tougher than a TW.  A PW with 6 L9 beams, depending on what they have equipped, may be able to out DPS a JW over time.  Remember the JW has to cloak, stay behind his opponent as much as possible, and has to stop shooting to do so.  The PW being much tougher can just give the mob a face to face beat down, without having to bother with cloaking and maneuvering.  Don't forget that the PW has 1 more weapon slot than the other warriors & the PT this may make up for the best beams/MLs being Race Only weapons.

Being able to avoid damage makes you a more dangerous opponent than you may realize.  Just ask a JE, despite it being the class with the weakest shields, weakest hull, and least firepower, there are quite a few mobs over CL50 that a L150 JE can solo if played well. Sometimes while using L8 PLs ;)

Edit:  Forgot to mention that it was kiting with L9 MLs on a PW in first 2 paragraphs.

  6. There are already many choices using your racial weapon.  Over time more items, weapons and otherwise, are added into the game.  Alurra made another good point, play long enough and you can max everything on any character.  Some take longer than others, since not all classes require the same number of skill points to max everything.  I think that currently the JT requires the fewest, followed by the PT.

  7. DPS while helpful isn't the be all end all.  A JE, when well played, can easily handle the CL58 Gene Hunters in Paramis even with poor shields, weak hull, and only 3 weapons.  Since you're likely mining when you see them, you also have the option to avoid them (low sig, cloak), play keep away (Coma + L3 Fold Space), or fight them (cloak, get behind them, fire, repeat).  IMO Fold Space is a better skill than it got credit for, at least in the original, even though it works the same now as it did then.

One of the Mars Construction Project beams that will come in later, the Gaze of the Martyr, is a nice beam for all 3 explorers, but the JE will likely just hold out for the Gaze of Amah.  Both beams have the same buffs (40% turbo beam, 3% damage increase, beams) one's L8 the other L9.  The Scout and PE could use them while farming, or mining.  This is especially the case for the PE since they get better shields, critical targeting, and have 7 fewer slots in their cargo hold than a Scout.

For Terrans & Progen L8 beams are also useful for farming whether it's credits or faction.  Find something you can easily beat, and pound them until you get the faction/credits you need.  Some of the belter type mobs in VG were great for farming credits.  If they haven't changed they're easily beaten by a character with L8 shields/weapons, and have decent junk loot you can sell at Fenris Prime Observatory.

  8. That does make perfect sense, I just never got very far with a prospecting class. Puttered around a bit with a PS on live but that was so long ago I really can't remember much of that beyond occasionally being frustrated by getting popped trying to JS someone :P Do progen hulks yield more than one per hull, or did you really find dozens of them so quickly? Or is it simply that your prospecting skill is so high you can rip through the missions?

Not that this has very much to do with the OP anymore

I think they have loot tables like any thing you kill.  When it comes to hulks, it's determined by that, and their level.  I don't know if loot tables for hulks vary by sector, but it probably does.  This is the case for asteroids, as tazeron is only supposed to show up in one navigation point in Kitara's Veil.  In EnB Origins, Mordanite was only supposed to be in one location as well, Dahin sector near Hau field beacon.

  9. Reading is fundamental in doing missions.

    Definitely.

Sometimes it's also helpful to know things about the game lore, or the game in general.  I'm reminded of a mission back in one of the stress tests, where the dialogue asked game related questions, and getting them wrong meant restarting the mission.  One example was "You're knowing what I'm needing" and the correct answer was something about Megan. Big Strong Wow!

  10. You might also want to ask in General.  Some players who may be able to help you might have New Players turned off.  Don't forget to use the Net 7 Portal.  The database is useful for items, as well as what it takes to make them.  The ability to transfer items between your characters on the same account, or linked accounts is very useful.  If you have things you want to sell to vendors, first trade it to another player (or one of your alts) trade it back, then sell it.  Trading an item to a player will get more XP than trading the same item to a vendor (this assumes you are able to get Trade XP from the item you're trading).  You can also use alts for this, but you need to log in both characters & trade between them directly.  Using the vault transfer or mail system does not award trade XP.

  11. Thnx guys for your replies :D

I now have the dilema on what class I wanna play again :o , decisions decisions lol.

Safe travels and hope to see you amongst the stars.

    PESTI

If you have enough time for play, you can try them all.  You can get multiple accounts, I think it's 9 per e-mail address, but I'm not certain.

  12. Code wise the radius of our hulls (maxed) is roughly about 50 meters.

Does that change based on race & class.  A PW's ship looks quite a bit wider than a JT's ship, especially if she has the folding wings configuration.  (IMO the other configurations just don't look right on a JT).  Maybe it's because when two ships are superimposed on one another, you don't see her profession section, and how wide the wings get.

Also, am I the only one that thinks that at max hull the JT's ship looks pregnant?  (look at the profession part of the ship at each hull level, in order)
