  1. Being a TE that relies quite heavily on speed and maneuverability to avoid taking large amounts of damage, I've lately noticed a problem. Namely, it takes forever to switch from forward thrust to reverse, and that's because forward and reverse thrust don't negate each other. What do I mean by this? Simple - Going in full reverse doesn't slow your forward speed any faster than simply leaving your engines off, and the same is true when you want to go forward and are currently going backwards. If your top speed gets close to the limit (Mine is 1000 on my TE) then it can take you about 10 seconds to go from full speed ahead to coast to a full stop - This would be halved if reverse actually helped slow you down. It would be helpful, and a bit realistic, if engaging the engines in the opposite direction helped bring you to a stop faster than just letting it coast.
  2. It actually seems laggier since the update - I only had minor lag problems before, but now I'm getting them all the time, from slow targeting to weapons delays to temporary interface freezes. I'm also experiencing more proxy crashes than ever - I've lost 28 jobs today alone due to the proxy randomly crashing or dropping (Which happened again as I was posting this, though no job losses), a problem I've never had before the push. Additionally, the new, possibly unrelated problem has come up where I will randomly warp past my target, often by 5km or more - Enough to turn around and warp back to it (Which overshoots me again).
  3. Agreed with Slayer; these pilots aren't stupid. They're not going to openly attack a vessel that's significantly stronger than them no matter how much they hate them unless they're crazy (Bio-Rippers) or suicidal.
  4. A problem I've been encountering with some frequency is that mission dialogue trees, and even their descriptions and objectives, are sometimes poorly-written enough to detract from the game, and are occasionally muddled enough that the mission becomes confusing or unnecessarily difficult. 'A mistique engineering for a device' is a particular offender, with typos galore and dialogue that looks like it was written by a twelve-year-old WoW player, but many of the Progen-specific missions could also use a rewrite to clarify the dialogue and the objectives a bit more, patch up spelling mistakes, and shift the words around so they're in the proper order and context. Missions shouldn't be made harder because it's unclear what you should be doing or what you're going to need to do it. I'm not calling Byakhee out specifically, even though I'm told he did most of the missions I just mentioned. Not everyone speaks perfect English, after all. However, I think that going over these missions and polishing up the text would help make the game look more professionally-done and solve a few recurring points of confusion.
  5. I've noticed in my experiences as a TE that Hacking is incredibly underwhelming. Even at CL42, with Super Hacking and a 152% hacking success chance bonus, I don't even bother with it because success is so rare and so limited in usefulness. I can't even reliably Multi-Hack CL5 Chavez (Even had one complete failure during my testing where I failed to hack ANYTHING) and even if I succeed it lasts for all of ten seconds (Regardless of CL) at which point they open fire, start moving, and call for backup as normal. Hacking anything my own CL or higher pretty much always fails unless I get extremely lucky. So I'm left with a skill that rarely works and, even if it does, gives me time to get one extra volley off. Hacking should be looked into so that it's more effective and a better use of reactor energy. Unless those last two levels multiply its effectiveness, and most importantly its duration, fivefold then it's really a skill not worth having for the reactor energy and skill points it consumes.
  6. Looks like the servers crashed out. No indication was given that it was going down (that I saw) and the website dropped offline for an hour or so as well.
