2. Thank you very much C Del.

The "thumbs up" and the "jumper" were esp. for expressing happyness, when something great has been done (updates, website functions etc). - so maybe you find some within the current theme - or i try to find some.

Brb...

there's a much easier way - right click on the Proxy tooltray icon and choose 'exit'.

Even easier: Double click the icon in the tray

Update: Zackman, thanks for the mob info ... hanging around those particular mobs I was able to isolate the problem.

Bout dang time, i was holding back a LOOONG time waiting for you to figure it out on your own...but now after years i HAD to point you...

Tnx for the find and upcoming fix!

I'll be finalising the fixes for the new FX bugs and these fixes then I'll do a restart probably tomorrow.
I wouldn't bother if it's even today - the FX bug makes playing almost impossible - you get epileptic attacks watching the animations of a dozen buffs stacking - it's toasting you brain...

Edited for spelling, cuz my brain HAS BEEN toasted already...
6. Sorry...double post, but just tested:

7. Thank you for the updates, Shaddex!

Shaddex....if you could make this "offline inventory management" (moving items between alts) come true...
I am spending much time ingame just moving/trading stuff between mules.

So if you could do it.....what should i say.... it would be UBER!
8. Morning!

C Del, this is the generator i am using, its pretty up to date all time and supporting all format (CIDR, Netmask etc):
You choose the countries and the format and the list is yours :)

http://www.countryip...select-formats/

Here is China and Russia:

WARNING!!! BE ADVISED:
Based on the OS and the firewall/mechanism you are running, long lists can cause a huge performance hit because every request has to be parsed through the list.
This is memory intensive (the bigger the list is) and CPU intensive.

I run linux server and got a firewall that is making one check on the initial connect, then using persistant connections so server must only check the connection one time and not
every time a packet is requeted from the server (resulting in huge CPU and RAM save):

9. Kyp, thank you for the answer, i appreciate - tho i disagree on some points.
But i make it short this time ( ):
The donations as stated in my previous post go entirely to keeping a server up for you guys to play on. Therefore you're not entitled to any sort of special treatment either as I can see.
Kyp, i got aware yesterday already that you obvl. misreaded CPwings - but i decided to not comment it, CPWings could reply on his own of course.
I will jump in anyway: He was saying that he cant understand how builders ingame can charge a lot of credits for builds when everyone knows the stuff goes poofy anyway soon.
He wasnt talking about real-life/donations in any way.

For the very issue - i am just quoting one sentence that sums it up:
I am not unintentionally speaking abruptly, I only sugarcoat things if I'm paid to do so.
Sugarcoating things was never the issue - to me its all about respect.
There is a difference between "sugarcoating" and being respectful - no1 should be forced to pay for respect.

I know you are going to answer like
"You dont need to pay for respect - that's already done by my boss :D .
I always try to be respectful to the community. Im just not sugarcoating the ugly truth - which is a difference."

So i did it just for you :D

And like always in life...the truth is somewhere in the middle.
I can say everything has been cleared up for me at this point, thanks again.

Edited for better words
10. I dont know what server u running and what firewall, but if you want i can help you and supply you with ip-frames to block.
Russia and Turkey on it as well - since they are also in the top ten of SPAM originatings in 2011....

Tnx for editing the quoted spam out of my previous reply, was going to do it anyway after a reply.
11. Appendix:

When you dig in the code there anyway (i think the following problem comes from there as well):

It happens to organic mob, that after a bit of damage the shield shows no numbers anymore, instead you see "No Shields".

I might be wrong but there are only to hull types: Hull and shield.
Technically the blue bar of organics are "shield".

For some reason organcis are showing no numbers anymore after you hit them for a while.
The blue bar is still dating up and damage is calculated, so think its just a wrong flag in the updatepacket.

Good Example:
Tengus in Cooper, eg. Slayer L53
12. ...and the Spam has raised since then..markable.

See this, i just got a topic-notifyer mail:

The posting has been deleted fast (3 minutes) or postings from that account are on status "need approval".

But if you check the account and its registration IP, i bet its chinese and a bot registration.

Give yourself a rest and block the chinese..there is nothing good coming from it.
I have china, korea and some more blocked - completely!
13. Delphi is object orientated turbo-pascal within a VERY mighty IDE.
Thats the whole story already:)

The language/sytax is c++ like at a few points and you can do very nice software with it.

The compiler is originally Borland which is one of the fastest compilers in the world, which is producing very optimized and fast executables.

If there's a particular mob which always has the 0/0 that would be good, or if you see the 0/0 under certain conditions.
I tested a bit yesterday and you might try out Zenshai Messiah L44 in VC, he is a "stable" example.

A pure theory:
I THINK it happens on every hull-mob with deflects but you start to realize it only on higher mob level, because it takes longer (more damage) then.
Thinking about it...i think einjahar (sp?) dont behave that way.

To me it seems like a problem within the damage calculation. The higher the level of the mob is, the higher this "shadow value"in the background gets.
Sounds like a deflect calculation to me - or something that way.

It might be that its even no "real bug", thats its just a display-problem.
Trying to say, that mobs hull is calculated a different way "internally" on the server then the pure numbers show to the client - therefor people THINK it should be dead already while the mob
is still "alive" technically on the server.

Example for a coders brain:

The Hull is 10.000 initially.
You send update packets to the client updating the hull strengt of mob to the client.

What, if these packets are send at a point where another calculation still takes place?
Eg. you hit for 1800 hitpoints, but only 954 hitpoints where substracted from the mobs hull due some more calculations (eg. deflects etc) ?

The client packet would read 0/0 at a certain point and the server still has the mob with (e.g.) 3822/10000 ?

It should be noted that the mobs hull is send to the client as 0/0 - which is already weired, it should read 0/10000 ... that alone is indicating a calculation problem already.
Somehow the server holds a 0/0 value for the hull at a point.

Could it be even that the server calculation for "isDead" is like
(hull < initial hull) // hull has taken damage
and
(hull <1) //game over
?

When the hull is 0/0 the first condition (< initialHull) would be always "false" and the mob wont die.

Also note that
hull = 0
would be also "false" because when hull is +432 and the next damage hits for 1822, you never would match a "0-Hull" condition because the hull gets a negative value with that single hit.

Just my thoughts, but i think it goes in this direction.

This problem is not "old" - so it seems to be brought in the last time - indicating again some problem in the damage calculation because many skills (active/passive) on mobs where just recently "extended" (AI wise).
