merloocku321
When I press play a window pops saying net 7 1.85 and then quick message in the window saying, unable to resolve ip address something and windows closes. Cant get progress after this and repeats every time I press play in the net 7 program.
C Del[IS]
There's no way to be sure what problem you're having given the limited amount of information. Try going into the command prompt (Start Menu > Run "cmd") and run the command "ping play.net-7.org".

C Del[IS]
Ohh, that helps a lot. Make sure you have "Net7 Multiplayer" selected in the Server box, and that the host box says "play.net-7.org".

revoemag85
Actually the server option you need to select is "Net7 Multi-Player(Custom)".

I tried both options and still the same outcome. Man, I miss this game so much. :/ Edited May 3, 2010 by roboman
C Del[IS]
The custom option is actually unnecessary for most players. You only need it to use the checkboxes at the right if you have trouble connecting normally. That said, select Multi-Player (Custom), check the "Debug Launch" box, press play, and copy the what comes up in the console window and paste it here or take a screenshot. Something seems to be getting messed up with the command-line switches passed to the proxy.

C Del[IS]
Oh, I see. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\, open the file called "hosts" in notepad, and add the following line to the file: 127.0.0.1 local.net-7.org

C Del[IS]
Take out the pound sign (#) before the local.net-7.org line and your problem should be fixed.
